Won't read fonts

My Opticon handheld works great with 39 regular digit font. However, a new program that I am using won't print that font. I've switched to several different barcode fonts that I can print, the the scanner does not recognize them. The scanner is 6 years old. I can print 3of9, Code 3x, 39r.ttf, & IDAutomationHC39M.ttf, but the scanner cannot recognize them. Any suggestions?

Please try to reset your scanner configuration, using some utilities from it's manual book (usually available at it's case/box), restore it (usually by scanning it) to original factory configuration or scan a label that would enable all symbologies.

The font size is very small on the my printed doc. and I want to increase the font size

Fonts and font sizes are managed within the program you are using, the actual font files, and your operating system (typically Windows). This is especially true with some languages on the internet - you will need Language Packs from the program manufacturer to successfully display the characters of some languages.
If the printer works with other fonts and other programs just fine, but is having a problem with one specific font or program, then you will need to contact the manufacturer of the font (Or Microsoft, if it is a font that came with Windows), or the program manufacturer, for more assistance. The printer only prints what is sent to it, if other programs work fine, then the printer, its driver, and the related hardware are fine. Any printer does also not include fonts in the installation of the printer driver, so reinstalling the printer driver will not replace or solve font problems. If the printer is not working from multiple programs, let us know so we can troubleshoot this issue. Otherwise, you will need to contact your program manufacturer for information on how to manage fonts or the manufacturer of your specific font.

My Canon PIXMA MX310 Not so good .....Needs your assistance

This usually results in a conflict between a printer font and an application or true type font. Does it happen only in certain programs or all? Check the program you are trying to print out of and use the print properties option. Check to see if it allows you to select "use printer font" and uncheck that.

Or try changing to a truetype font for grins ans see of the font size does as expected. TRy Verdana or a script font. Then you'll know the culprit. Also some driver installation for various printers have an option to install printer fonts. I've seen this problem both ways so you might try re-installing the driver and see what happens. I notice this happens most in Adobe programs.

Hope some of this is useful.

Prints very small

The font size is going to be controlled by the program you are using. For normal word processing you would use a 10 or 12 point font.

If you are referring to printing from a browser like Internet Explorer, you can change the font from the Internet Explorer menu VIEW > TEXT SIZE > MEDIUM (normal).

Note: Internet Explorer font settings effect Outlook Express too.
