Re: The two lights are on refrigerator donot work
Id be curious as to if there is a control board locatd on the sidewall next to the compressor, behind the refrig. usually encased in awhite housine mounted directly to the cabinet, ifso I'd open that boxup andlook for a burn mark, that s the culprit for no interior lights in refrig

Did you have a hinge kit recently replaced? If so call them back they missed something. If not, look into the light circuit a if it goes to ground this light issue would happen. Most of these issues I found in the upper section behind the upper grills. I hope this helps
I suppose you should have checked that bad bulb and the new bulb in a working table lamp. If they work there then the door switch for the light may be defective or a connection has opened in the supply voltage. 90 percent of electrical problems are not shorts -but opens.. OPPS! something is missing. The voltage is not getting there
Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
Actually the filter is used to provide clean, fresh tasting water and ice specially designed for the side by side refrigerators manufactured by SAMSUNG. The filter is replaced after 3-6 months depending on the use. There is a indicator light installed on the display that reminds you the time to replace the water filter. the drain hose from your auto defrost freezer is clogged with something. i had same problem. took the cover off the light switch and found hose. i blew and blew because it was clogged so bad. finally a little chunk of meat went flying into drain pan, now, no water leak inside or out. also the pan should always be dry due to fan evaporating water so no need to empty
There is a service bulletin related to this, dealing with deformation / melting of the lamp cover. The fix is to change the lamp wire harness to one that now has a thermal protector incorporated in it (part number 6621JK2003B) along with changing the main PCB board to one that uses a larger relay for this function (part number 6871JB1423N).
In case you want or need to replace the following,
The lamp cover is part number 3110JA1096A and the lamp holder is part number 3034JA1009A
I tried to cut and paste a few photo's, but was unsuccessful. Sorry. Make sure to test that fans and light switches work after part changes.
As I mentioned previously, I had previously tried a new bulb behind the control panel and it didn't work. I tried again, but first I unplugged the refrigerator, and then installed the new bulb. And when I plugged the refrigerator back in, the light worked!
I am not sure why unplugging the refrigerator before installing the new bulb worked, but it did.
