Question about Samsung HL-P5063W 50" Rear Projection HDTV
Bought the DLP TV three years ago, but now it suddenly lost the picture. Also, when I tried to power it on now it only stayed on (no picture, but with sound) for a couple of minutes, then it turned off automatically. I replaced the lamp, but the problem remains.
Thank you in advance.
Try replacing the ballast next. Its the small circuit board directly underneath the lamp housing. You can access it through the lamp door. If the ballast is overheating or has a leaking capacitor, the tv won't stay lit for more than a minute or two.
