Make sure your private IP address is statically set.  Your public IP address is obtained from your ISP and is what other users will be connecting to.  You can not manipulate your public IP address so if your ISP is running DHCP, it is very possible that your public address is changing.  Also if you are frequently disconnecting your modem, it is possible your ISP is leasing you a new public IP address each time.  So try to keep things as static as possible.  As far as the battle net stuff.

Diablo, Warcraft II Battle.net Edition, and StarCraft:
Allow port 6112-6119 TCP and UDP out and in
Diablo II:
Allow port 6112 TCP out and allow established sessions in
Allow port 4000 TCP out (realm games)
Allow port 4000 TCP out and in (hosting open games only)
Warcraft III:
Allow port 6112 TCP out and allow established sessions in
Allow port 6112 TCP in (hosting custom games)
Allow port 6113-6119 TCP out and in (hosting custom games if you've changed the default port in the Options/Gameplay screen)
If you are still having problems after you open up the required ports, try opening 116(TCP) and 118(TCP). I don't really know if these ports are required or not.
I have had people tell me that opening up those two ports have helped them connect to battle.net.

Hope that helps.  For manipulating ports in your router I suggest consulting your user manual, or online FAQ.  Save your router config before applying any changes, and always remember, opening up ports subjects you to different types of security threats so be aware that is a risk you are taking.

Is your Xbox hard wired or wireless? If its wireless, try changing the broadcast channel (to like 11) your are probably getting interference. If its hard wired, you probably need to forward the port on that IP address for the Xbox

I have a Belkin Wireless router and I have a PS3

Actually you don't need to forward ports when playing online games. The router should automatically locate the ports for the game because it has UPnP function. Here's what you can do. Disable the port forwarding and DMZ that you set on the router. Look for the UPnP function of the router and disable, Save it. Enable it again, then save. Now power cycle your router. If you have Static IP on the PS3 network settings, try to set it first to automatic IP and automatic DNS.

Hope that helps.

Friend cannot conect to me while im the host server.

Each computer on the router is assigned an ip if DHCP is enabled in the router. This is known as your inhouse IP and you will need these to forward ports.

On each computer connected to the router open cmd (command prompt) and type
ipconfig /all
Make note of the ip assigned for each machine.

Open your router setup and enable DHCP if is isn't already. Save changes.
Locate Port Forwarding or Advanced Routing.
Create a rule for each machine. You can name them anything you like, such as machine1, machine2...
Select TCP for the protocol. You can select a port range in the ports boxes. In the IP box you will type the ip for each machine and select enable. Save Changes.
Reboot everything, machines, router and modem.

Also note some routers have a gaming tab which will make this easier to setup.

Good luck

Port forwarding & Remote Management setup on Linksys WAG200G

here is how you set up port forwarding:

1. log into the router;
2. Click the Applications & Gaming link near the top of the page. 3. You should now see a new menu. Click Single Port Forwarding or Port Range Forwarding.
4, Enter sth like: HTTP; 80; 80; TCP; 192.168.0.1; check
5. When you're finished, click Save Settings near the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

go to administration-> remote administration to set up remote management
Remember, remote Administrator requires you to forward the 4899 ports.

Need To Configurate To Host A Bnt game

You need to log on to your router. Go to Start>Run>type http://192.168.1.1. then a login window appears. Leave username blank and admin for password. There you will find the port-forwarding, DMZ stuff that gamers use. Here is the link for Linksys info for your router http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/support/WRT160N Steve Medley
