Try a new belt stretched belts will cause this problem if that's not it then i think your motor is getting weak too weak to turn the full drum

Dryer heats but doesn't turn.

Most likely the belt broke on the drum. Less likely the motor died. When turn the dryer on do you hear the motor running? If so you probably broke the belt. You will have to unlock the top and pull the front off. The belt rides around the drum towards the back of the dryer.

Tumble dryer drum not turning under load

Was the belt changed recently? The reason I ask is because it sounds like the belt was put on backwards, meaning the ribbed tire looking side of the belt is facing upwards instead of making contact with the drum. The symptoms of this are the exact same you are describing.

I have an eziloader 6kg dryer, the drum does not spin but the heater element turns on. How do I check if the belt has come off?

can you turn the drum reasonably easy whilst the machine is empty and off . If you can than the drum has no load and the belt is either broken or has come off the drive pulley or the drum . Disconect power cord from socket and remove back off machine ..You know should be able to access drive belt and either replace belt onto drum and drive motor or purchase and fit new belt . It is a good idea to replace a belt that has slipped off and is not broken - belts stretch and its likely to come off again . If this is one with a sealed back then turn it on side and remove base to reach belt .

Dryer heats but drum does not turn when the start button is pushe

You need to check the drum belt. With dryer empty, reach in and give it a spin. If the belt is good, it will stop in 1/2 turn or less when released. If the belt broke, it will spin almost a full turn.

Past few days, dryer got very noisy. Then drum

The noise is coming from a moving part. There are only a few that normally cause a problem. Also the dryer drum not turning freely is what broke your belt. Here is what I would replace. Drum rollers, Drum slides and idler pulley. You can check these parts before you replace them. If the drum rollers don't spin real easy, replace. If the idler pulley does not turn easy, replace. If the drum slides are worn, replace. Your model may be one with a front drum bearing. If it looks worn, replace.
You may be able to take dryer apart, try turning drum. Listen for the noise and notice if the drum is hard to turn. If so, you may be able to determine if the problem is in the front or back of drum. Keep on mind that the noise might have been the belt slipping due to the drum being hard to turn. Either way, when you have it repaired, it should run with the noise. Good luck.

Element heats but dryer drum does not turn. It is a front loading Kenmore dryer. It seems the drum is off what ever it is that keeps it in place.

Your belt broke or just came off. The belt keeps it in line and turns the drum. If you're handy you can replace it yourself. make sure the thing is unplugged, it's 220 volts. take the back off. the belt goes around the whole drum and the motors pully. It takes some doing but it is doable. If it's broken, Order a new belt from the dealer and replace it. or if you're not so handy or just don't want to deal with it call a service man to replace it.
