SOURCE: Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher wiring diagram

if unavailable on line, contact mfg's parts and you should be able to order it.
also, they likely do not make the unit. the sears may be able to tell you who made it. that company would be able to get you a diagram. just make some phone calls.

SOURCE: I am installing a dishwasher.

If you have a volt/ohm meter you can check for Power on the Blue wire. Or you can open the face of your fuse box and look to make sure the Blue wire is connected to the fuse. If it is, just hook up your Black from dishwasher to the blue from house. White to White ( Neutral). There is no real way to ground the dishwasher if your house wiring is a 2 wire (old) system. You shouldn't have a shock hazard if the wires are in the junction box for the dishwasher.

SOURCE: LG LDS5811BB Dishwasher

Some of the LG LDS5811 had problems with the wiring harness in the door panel. This is nothing to mess with unless you have disconnected the DW from power.
You can open the door panel by removing the screws around the inside edge of the DW. Or, better yet, firmly but politely contact LG service and tell them you are aware of LDS5811 dishwashers having these symptoms being caused by _melting_ wires in inside the door panel. This is true and even if the DW is out of warranty, LG should fix this problem at no cost to you.
Good Luck!

We sold our bosch dishwasher, working perfectly. New owners transported it on its back. Now it won't start, or even show that it is getting power, though the outlet works. What has happened?

Hello KT;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

Transporting the dishwasher on its back should not have been a problem. It is only with refrigerators and freezers that need to be transported up right, to prevent compressor oil getting into the refrigerant sealed system.

You may have a power cord problem. You have a 3 or 4 wire power cord. If you have a 3 wire power cord you need a 15 amp circuit breaker. If you have a 4 wired power cord you need a 30 amp circuit breaker.

The wall socket that you are plugged into my not have a ground.

You need to check the wall socket and the wire connects at the dishwasher. Send me a model number so I can see what you have. If you have a 4 wire connection you can chance the cord to a 3 wire. On a three wire you have a neutral and two hot with a small green ground wire. On a 4 wire you have a neutral two hot wires and a neutral in the center with a ground wire.

I would put my money on the wall socket not having a ground.

Send me a model number and I will help you.

Won't turn on

Make sure there's power getting to the dishwasher. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power. Sometimes the power cord disconnects at the dishwasher (inside the junction box, behind the bottom kick panel), if this is the case, the wiring must be repaired or replaced.

I lost my manual and i can't fiqure out how to connect the dishwasher. i see the light that shows what to wash but the power buttom is not on

When you say connect, I assume you mean you are installing or reinstalling a dishwasher. With the power off, you always connect the black wire with the black wire on the dihswasher. This is the HOT or the LINE wire. The white wire hooks to the white which is the COMMON wire, and the bare copper wire connects to the green screw or green wire and is the GROUND. If you are using a pig tail (plug in connection) the common wire will usually have a line or series of lines going the length of the wire. Just be sure you identify the correct wire because a dishwasher will run with the hot and the common connected backwards which can create a dangerous situation if a short develops inside the dishwasher. Use wire nuts twisted on snugly and enclose all wiring connections in the connection box. Hope this helps! Ken

Suddenly stopped working - won't run on any cycle.

First check the electrical supply. I have seen dozens of dishwashers which did not have the hot wire connected tightly enough (inside the connection box behind the lower panel). Sometimes the loose wire caused the breaker to blow. If you have control lights but the dishwasher will not start it could be a bad door latch saftey switch. $10 part, cheap. Hope this helps, Ken

My dishwasher

sounds like the fuse on the control blew. you can replace the fuse for around $20 or you can cut and splice the wires for free. If that doesnt work then you may have a loose conection in your junction box under the dishwasher.
