SOURCE: hotpoint wml 540g the fault is the machine starts

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

In a word 'yes'!
Either the interlock requires adjustment if that is physically possible on your machine or the sensor requires checking and possibly replaced.
For me this is a rare quick answer- I normally rant on............................... :-0)

It won't drain and says F4 on display, I have checked the filter at the front and it is clear, it is plumed in into the sink and that is not blocked? Pls help I can't afford a new washing machine...

That fault code is to do with the drain pump either its jammed or not working remove the front plate at the bottom of the machine undue the filter and check to see if it is either a blockage or something jammed in the pump.

Hope helps.

Washing machine not rinsing and spinning wf440

I would suggest that you check and clean the pump filter.
This is to be found by removing the lower panel of washer, then remove the large black hose fastened to bottom of drum.
Remove and clean filter inside hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for blockage or obstruction here as well.

While on a cotton wash machine continues until the rinse cycle stops and shows f5 machine blocked.

You need to clean the filter.

Remove lower rear panel of washer/
Locate and remove large black hose on bottom of drum.
Remove and clean filter inside hose.
Rempve hose onto pump, and check for blockage and or obstruction here as well.
This should solve the problem.
Please leave feed back for my solution.

Hotpoint wf540 stopping on a rinse and spin and

check pump/filter/outlet hose for blockages. if ok, check pressure switch (disc shaped item at top of machine with 4? wires and a tube) by blowing into it gently - should hear clicks, then blow into tube to pressure chamber - should be clear.

Hotpoint Aquarius WD440G

Unplug the machine from the wall for 5 minutes, then plug it back in and try it again. If the lights come back, the control board needs to be replaced.

Hotpoint wd44d wash/dryer wont finish a wash nor wont pump out

It sounds like you still have a blockage either in the outlet hose itself or in he pump. If you know how to remove the outlet hose from the bottom of the machine but be aware a lot of water also might empty from the machine when you do this. If you use an object such as a pen and put it in the outlet hose no blockage it wll come out. Then gently feel around the pump opening for any objects. Finally gently spin the pump propellor to make sure it turns smoothly. Replace hose and test. Hope this helps.
