    Toshiba 2860 copier
the copier issues a jam signal before the transfer is complete. The trailing edge of the paper is still in the transfer process when a jam signal is issued. This is the first page every time. Not the 2nd page. Copier will stop with a jam signal on the first page. there is approx 1 inch or less left on the trailing edge still under the imaging drum.

Hi..The density sensor (under the drum) also doubles as a
paper path sensor. Toner frequently clogs it up and it can't
see the paper. This usually results in code 8-12 jams and
1/2 copies being output to the tray. Just clean the sensor
and run routine 9-71. This will set the reference for a clean
sensor against a toner patch on the drum. If you have trouble
setting this routine, you may have to adjust the ADC pot on the
main board and try it again. Sometimes this sensor goes bad
and needs to be repaired or replaced. There aren't many components
on it so you can usually repair it fairly easily.
check this out..
thank u..

. There are rollers that cling on to the paper and move it through the machine. When the rollers are worn down they do not grip the paper. For a short fix you can get something rough like sandpaper, brillo pad, etc, and gently scratch the rollers to give them some traction. This will temporarily solve your problem until you can get the rollers replaced.

How do I solve this problem? My hp LJ 4345 printer experiences intermittent paper jam in fuser(accordion-like) with half of the paper out of the fuser. We've replaced the fuser with a new one but the

This error can be caused by the following:

1. Fuser that is close to end of life. Maximum print quantity is 225,000 pages.

2. poor quality paper, very thin paper never feeds well and will jam.

3. Printing an image that is almost entirely black can cause the paper to buckle before entering the fuser.

Try different paper to see if that resolves the problem.

I have canon 2900 and it having every time paper jam problem please help me

Analyse where paper jamming is happening? remove right left back & top covers..press door switch, shoot print command. Remove cartridge after paper jam, check upto where paper travel?
1. If paper jams with curl foldings in cartridge bank area..before entering the fuser assmbly..
# Teflon sleeve not rotation properly due to this paper not passing through it result curl foldings..Replace teflon sleeve..
2. If paper passed fuser assmebly little bit(near about 2-3 inches.
#Problem with paper out sensor/flag. clean sensor, check sensor flag movement & spring.
3. Check registration paper sensor located back side.
# while passing the paper, sensor flag has to act & once paper out it has to reach home, other wise paper jam error will appear.. check flag spring.

Take apart hp3005dn

Analyse what type of jam it is...based on that we can shoot the trouble.1. Paper is jamming before entry in fuser and its folds like curl in the cartridge area.. A. Fuser Teflon sleeve not rotating or slow rotation results media(paper)unable to reached the destination in specified interval. Replace fuser assm or Teflon sleeve.2. Paper jamming after fuser assembly crossed little bit ( approx 1-2 inch).A. Clean fuser out paper sensor, check sensor flag & flag spring located in fuser assm.3. Paper jammed after fuser crossed more than 6 inches..A. Check paper pick up roller warn out(tray1 or 2), check registration sensor located under registration assm. How to remove fuser assm: remove back door, see the snap shot...

Our HP 4250N Laser Printer is leaving a black line approx 2 inches off left side of paper. Tried cleaning rollers and putting printer into clean mode. Nothing is working. Any advice? Thank you.

This is caused either by the fuser or the tonercartridge.

The most common cause is the tonercartridge.
You can test this by forcing a paperjam to stop the paper just after the toner but before the fuser.

To force a paper jam print you can print a page from the manual feed tray and as the last third of the page enters the printer opening the door causes it to halt.

If the black line is there before the toner is bonded to the paper by the fuser you should replace the tonercartridge..

Toshiba 2860 copier, paper does complete the transfer process.

Did you get the drum shaft reinstalled and latched? If not, the drum won't rotate correctly which will cause poor transfer (smudged image) and jamming.

Brother hl-2070n; Paper jams half way through drum unit.

Usually there is a sensor right before the paper enters the fuser. If the paper sensor is bad the machine will stop feeding and output the error paper jam. This is probably the cuase if the paper stops in the same position all the time.

I would have to say that you are missing the fuser drive. I would remove the fusing unit and look to see if you are missing any gears or any missing teeth from a gear or just missing a gear...
