Pull the plug as you may have fuel lock on the piston. It that frees up the problem check the float needle and seat for not working and put a turn off tap in the fuel line .

I cant get my 1998 cbr 600 to start please help

Hi, Chuck and the usual suspects are:
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Discharged battery, needs to be 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
4. Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
5. Tip over sensor needs a reset.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Faulty starter button.
8. Faulty kickstand or clutch pull in switch/sensor.
9. Starter control circuit, relay, or solenoid faulty.
10. Main fuse or circuit breaker may be blown or faulty.
11. Check for engine trouble codes.

Why cant I pull the starter cord

If its on the compression stroke when you are pulling it will be hard to pull it, because you're fighting against the compression of the engine, make sure the valves are at the correct position and not fully closed when you are pulling.

good question first you need to find top dead center.if you cant find any marking on cam shaft remove spark plug. place thumb over hole and gentle pull motor over first will be suction next you will feel compression agaist your thumb this will be the power stroke as you pull motor over note when you first feel this and when this stops .this will give you a ball park idea of TDC.align the ignition system to fire here

I cant pull the cord, everything seems to be frozen

It is possible the motor is seized or the pump component has jammed. The Honda Motor usually has an oil minder(wont start if low oil). So that being the case you may have a problem with the pump. If you are handy and have internet it is possible to download a parts/repair manual for the type of pump involved. Otherwise take it to a repair shop. Sometimes these pressure washers are more costly to fix as compared to a new one..

On all 4cyl. honda vehicles, you must remove the engine and trans together, you cannot remove the motor alonen theres not enough clearance in the engine compartment. i am an ASE certified tech, I repair vehicles every day, honda & toyota are my primary.

Honda 5.5 hp air comp. no spark wont run

Most honda engines have an oil sensor that prevents the engine from starting if the oil level is low or oil is dirty. Test coil by disconnecting oil sensor wire. With sensor disconnected coil should fire. If still no fire, check kill wire for short. If still no spark, coil may need to be replaced. enjoy
