Question about Whirlpool ED2FHEXN Side by Side Refrigerator
The water line is cracked and leaking water. How do you replace the line? It's not the main line. The main line goes into red/blue filter then out. It's this line that goes up into a hole above the compressor. There is some play with the line, I'm assuming that I cannot just pull it out and put in a new line?
I went to Home Depot to get a splicer, but it still leaks.
I don't think you'd want to try and put a new line in (I don't think you can get into the box to do that) usually in foam or insulation between the inner and outer boxes.
Id do what you did use a splicer. FYI:
The splicer you got is it all brass, and your line is plastic?
You'll need plastic ferule for plastic lines, (the fitting can be brass but the washers inside the Ferule - has to be plastic to seal plastic.. This I learned the hard way.
Other wise If its a push on type it has to be straight and some times stay straight to seal.
If this helps let me know if you need more or I have misunderstood please let em know. Rate me as High as you like and thank you ahead of tiem.
