Recently my front-load wash machine (Whirlpool Duet) has started making horrible noise when it runs. It sounds like on old wash machine that has an unbalanced load in it. Then, it sounds like someone is knocking really loud.

This isn't a simple, it's not balanced on the ground. I've already checked that.

Do you have any clue what could be wrong?

Washer will not drain. It sounds like the motor for the pump is running but nothing is coming out. Whirlpool Duet washer.

It sounds like you may have a kinked drain hose or an obstruction in the hose coming out of the tub to the pump. The pump filter screen may also be clogged.

Are you getting any error codes?

Adjust your washer's front legs and lock the nut, it has another nut to do this. After you hav locked the legs, try to rock the washer with your hands, it should not rock. Another thing to check will be inside your washer, after taking the power off the wall socket. Check to see if some springs or the shocks (dampers) have come loose. This normally happens when the load is not even, that is when you hav a big sheet in one part of the washer tub. Spread out the clothes evenly before you commence the wash.

Front load washer sounds like a marble is loose

You washed something from your pockets. coins, marbles, I even removed a nail clipper before. Use a flashlight and try to look through the holes. If you can get front panel off. Put light under tub and see if you can see something that way.

I have a front load washing machine, model #ghw9100lw. It goes into the spin cycle and as the speed increases a very loud knocking sounds comes from the machine. I took the front top and lower front...

i had a similar problem, its more than likely that something is wrong with the metal basket inside, like a broken tripod leg on the back, or mine was missing 2 screws on one of the legs.

if you dont fix and soon you will have to get a new front outer tub. if its less than 10 years old it should be in warrenty and you can have a whirlpool repair man come fix it, you will just be responsible for the cost of service call and labor, which is around 300 in itsself.

if you decide to fix it your self the front outer tub is around 100, metal tub is around 200, and if you happen to break any of the shocks trying to get them off, they are 15 a piece at

Whirlpool duet washer has rock, marble, or something stuck inside

as long as your sure its an item between the tub assy the baffles in the drum can be removed and item fished out. but ifsomething snapped on the rear of the drum you would need to replace it. the baffle part number is 8182233, its about $40 thinknin thats worth a try before 475. the lower acess panel could also be removed and the main tub to pump hose could be removed which would give you a 3in hole to look through and try to grab somethin. worth a try
