Try reinstalling the driver software , this will also reset all settings.

Alteratively, try first doing a system restore to a date before you started having this problem.

Need manual can't get sound to my stereo have audio red and black wired to aux input on stereo

You should be able to download a manual from the manufacturer's website.

The aux input is generally high impedance and low sensitivity, needing more than one volt to obtain good volume. If your supply is in the order of a few millivolts, such as provided by a quality moving coil microphone or a magnetic record pick-up it is unlikely any sound will emerge from the loudspeakers.

Matching the source to the correct amplifier input is very important and once the choice has been made most amplifiers of my experience, that particular input must be selected at the controls of the preamplifier.

If the amplifier is only provided with an auxiliary input you might need an additional preamplifier to provide the correct matching of source to input sensitivity.

Connect to PC

You can use the audio our port to be connected to the audio input - MIC input- which can be selected as the AUX input. Select audio properties and select and switch the input to AUX so that the input is reduced to match the signal.Hence the audio outputs from receiver can be connected to this input and it can also be recorded by using the default recorder or the Sound Forge which can be downloaded.

I just bought a samsung home theater in a box system, model Ht-D5500. And i also have a hd cable box. i was wondering how can i connect my cable box up so that i get audio from the speakers instead of the...

There are two ways of connecting to get cable TV audio from your Home Theater System.
1) If your HD cable box has a digital audio out ( either optical or coaxial ) you can connect this to the Samsung Home Theater Systems digital input. While watching a TV channel scroll through the Samsungs input ( source ) selector till you hear the sound. Remember to mute the TV sound while you are doing this. Most probably it will be the CBL/SAT input or Video AUX.
2) If your HD box does not have digital audio out you can connect the Red & White audio out of the same to your Samsungs Aux or TV or Video audio inputs . Ignore the yellow socket and connect only the Red and White audio inputs. For getting Video through the TV connect the HD box to TV via HDMI cable or connect the Yellow video out to the TV's Yellow video in. I am sure it is already connected .

Tell the difference between the Aux input and V-Aux input

'Aux' is a general label for any Line Level analog stereo input like DVD, VCR, TV, DBS, etc. They are usually electrically identical and interchangeable except for PHONO.

V-Aux on this unit is on the front panel for conveniently connecting a video device. It has analog and assignable digital audio plus S-video and composite video.

There is nothing labeled 'Aux' on this unit.

No sound from microphone input or line input. says this device is working ok.latest drivers from driver detective. Aspire m3100 with win xp.All controls blanked out.

go to control panel / sounds and audio properties/( can you move the volume button?) if so then click the advanced button there and then on that window click options then properties then select the recording button and make sure that the microphone box is checked and anything else that you want to use for recording then click ok and select the microphone when the window comes up with the volume controls and check boxes for each device that you want to choose from to record( only one device can be selected

hope this is worth a fixya as all other ratings hurt our scoring

Ive bought a record deck but my hi fi has no phono input can anything be done

You will need to find a booster for it if it is a low level record player. Many new ones can plug right into the "AUX" or "TAPE" input of a stereo. The older ones would require a booster amp to be able to hear it on one of those inputs. You can go ahead and try it, it will not hurt the stereo to see if it will work or not. After you plug it into the stereo, if you can barely hear anything with the volume really loud, you need a pre-amp booster for the record player. You may need to look on ebay for one, I do not know of anyplace that sells them anymore.

I hope this helps,
Dave

No sound from my record turntable into my computer.

If you're certain there is no sound going out of the TT...

Setting the Pre-amp Switch
For increased flexibility of use, this turntable has an internal
stereo phono pre-amplifier. The Pre-amp Selector Switch
is located under the turntable platter, in the rear-center
(Fig. 1). If the system amplifier you are using has a PHONO
input, set the Pre-amp Selector Switch to the “OFF”
position. If your amplifier does not have a PHONO input,
set the Pre-amp Selector Switch to the “ON” position and
connect the turntable’s output cables to the AUX or other
high-level input on the amplifier (described later).

Turntable operates, but no sound at all
1. The stylus guard is still in place.
2. The tone arm Lift button is pressed in.
3. Amplifier controls set incorrectly: wrong input selected,
tape monitor on, speakers switched off, etc.
4. Check the stylus on phono cartridge for correct placement.
Refer to the instructions for replacing the stylus
on page 5.
Turntable operates, but no sound, or sound not loud
enough
1. If the turntable is connected to an AUX (high-level)
input: The Pre-amp Selector Switch may be set to the
“OFF” position (phono-input level).
2. The input gain of the amplified speaker or similar
device may be too low.
3. The stylus assembly may not be fully seated in the
cartridge body.

You could also isolate the problem to either the TT or the PC by trying the TT on some other sound device like a receiver. Make sure the PreAmp Selector switch is ON and plug the TT into any AUX, CD or TAPE input.
