SOURCE: The printer doesn't recognize the new original HP color cartridge

There is a small spring that holds the ink cartridge in the ink holder. You will see it stick out from the right hand side of the ink holder where the ink cartridge slides in. If that spring isn't being held to the ink holder by two plastic tabs, (I.E. the plastic tabs are broken) the printer will never recognize the cartridge. If the printer is still under warranty I would contact HP or an authorized repair center for HP. Both the black and color ink holder has this spring. I know of no way to repair this kind of breakage.

SOURCE: Epson Stylus SX400 "Ink cartridges cannot be recognized"

Try this: First check which cartridge(s) are not being recognized. In my case where I replaced all three color cartridges, two were recognized right away but one was not. You find out by sending a print request to the printer and looking at the ink cartridge levels diagram in the dialog window. In my case two of three were fine but one had a red X on it. So I removed it and cleaned the contacts with alcohol then rocked it in the slot after pressing it in. It was recognized and the charging process began as normal.

Printer display says "Print cartirdge(s)

when you replaced them did you go into the menu located on the printer and tell the printer that you were changing the cartridges out? If not the printer thinks that you still have not replaced them. To do this all you have to do is go into the menu select the option that says change my cartridges (or something like that) and remove the new ones and put them right back in the printer should then recognize the cartridges.

Make sure you are using the correct version of cartridges for your model. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges. Close the cover. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first. Close the cover and check for any errors. If none, reinsert your other cartridge. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the error to appear. Or you can try to insert a different known working cartridge to determine if the other is faulty.

I have replaced the ink cartridge Magenta (T0813), with the new one, but the printer Epson R390 can't recognize it. It says Ink cartridge cannot be recognized. Make sure ink cartridges are correctly...

It might possible that the new cartridge is defective.
Try to turn off your printer, wait at least 3 minutes, turn back on.
This may reset the printer.
You could also try to remove your magenta cartridge.
Shake it a little, this will remove any trap air and fill the catridge cavity.
Reinstall the cartridge.

I have refill my printer with refill catridge but the printer always mention that my printer is out of catridge..what should i do now?????

You will need to reset the printer so the printer will recognize the full cartridges. try opening the door to access the cartridges and and close it than click on your start menu and click on your control panel than click on printers and faxes and find your printer then right click on it and click on properties. than find the print test page button once this has been done it should reset the printer. so it will stop displaying that the cartridges are empty.

I changed my black ink and now i get the message left cartridge incorrect..how do i fix it?

HP PSC 2210 InkJet Printer. The following has to be done for checking the Blank Ink Catridge working : 01. Remove the existing Black catridge and Color Catridges from the Printer carefully. 02. Clean the location with a soft cloth with cleaning liquid to make the place dust free. 03. Put the correct black and colour cartridges recommended by HP and that too genuine one. 04. Do not use any refilled or reinked local catridges that will spoil the HP PSC 2210 printer. 05. Re-install the catridges both Black and Colour properly. 06. Take a test print out - both black and colour print outs. 07. Check the Printer status and there is no warning of Cartridges wrongly inserted. Have a Good day.

Epson printer says "cannot recognize ink cartridges".

Are you using genuine epson cartridges? Many generics simply dont work on the newer printers. Once the printer decides the cartridge is empty, it sends a signal to the chip and that's it. You might hear ink, but if the chip says empty you can't use it. It also has the annoying habit of doing this when there's still 10-15% of the ink left.
I use reusable cartridges from http://www.ccs-digital.com They hold 2/3 more ink and the chips automatically reset to full if you remove and re-insert the cartridge. Instead of replacing the entire cartridge when it's empty, you pop out an internal ink tank and replace just that. So you know the chip has already been recognized by your printer. The ink tanks cost under $3. I think these are a brilliant invention.

Replaced HP LaserJet 2840 catridges and now [?][?][?][?] ! error

The OEM cartridges have a chip on them. If the aftermarket supplies do not have the right chip, missing a chip, etc., the machine will not recognize. Placing the old cartridge back in without any toner can give off the same message.

Try rebooting the printer without a cartridge in. Then install the cartridge, either one, and see if that helps. If not, wait for the OEM to arrive.

Cabling problem??

perhaps that the cable isn't put in the way it should , but it could also well be that you need a chip resetter for epson cartridges to let it recognize the cartridges correctly
