Check the separation pad or pickup rollers. Not so familiar with the ink printers but basically that cause the problem on laser printers.

HP C3180 keeps grabbing multiple sheets of paper when printing.

One thing you can do is make sure you fan the paper before loading it. Sometimes the paper is **** together.

Another thing is your pickup/Feed rollers might be worn out. I'm sure your can find some new ones on HP.com.

My HP Phototsmart C3180 will not print because it tells me that there is no paper in the feed. There is paper there. It tells me to push the "OK" button once paper is there. I can't locate an "OK" button.

You can see the OK button in the window which says "push the "OK" button once paper is there" , This is not on the printer, its on the Windows dialog box itself..

Each time I activate computer it prints out a test page

With a lot of the all in one printers they want to scan the test page aftert printing to check the alignment. Next time it prints out a page, if a dialogue box appears saying scan now with the option of scan or cancel, select scan. If a dialogue box does not appear, check the menu on the software and look for alignment. That should fix it.

Give it a shake.  There is a little switch that detects when there is / isn't any paper in the printer. It may be stuck.

Custom Paper Sizes for HP Photosmart C3180

I have a 3100 series HP. On it you select "Properties", then the "Features" tab. On that tab, there is a "Resizing Options" menu item. It has a drop down menu with "Letter", "More...", and "Custom" choices. There you can define the size.
