SOURCE: Display flashing on my deh-p6500

It has what is called reverse mode which flashes to protect the display to turn feature off please follow these steps.
Press the 5 numbered button when power to this unit is turned off while the ignition switch is set to acc or on will cancel the reverse mode and stop the flashing. Hope this helps.

The face plate flashs every few seconds to an annoying bright light that lasts a few seconds and then changes back to normal. This happens constantly. I've read the manual and can't find anyway to stop the...

mine did the same thing the brass contacts on the back are dirty or worn clean the contacts by rubbing a pencil eraser on them (both the face plate and the unit) also try pulling the contacts on the face plate out a little more do this gently so you don't damage them......this fixed my problem with the same radio
