You use RCA output for amps. If you aren't running an amp, you don't need them. So go with the two or which ever one is cheaper.

The four RCAs are for the speaker outputs. They plug into the rear of the Pioneer unit (front and rear outputs). Also, you didn't mention the model number of the wiring harness (necessary to properly diagnose the situation) but, some these units have one or two philips head dials to adjust the volume of the stereo and the volume of the chime. These dials may be on the side of the unit or, oyu may need to open the casing to see them.

2 RCA's coming from amp into radio's single subwoofer output RCA?

You can either hook up the left channel only or buy a splitter that separates one input into two outputs.

Your internal amplifier for the radio has failed (output IC). Probably due to a shorted speaker or speaker wire.
Repairing the unit will cost as much as another one.
You may be able to pick up a small used 2 or 4 channel amplifier instead and use the RCA signal to feed it for less than the repair cost.
You will be surprised in the sound difference between a dedicated amplifier, and the one built in the radio anyway!
The typical radio SAYS 50Wx4... however - realistically can put out 12-15Wattsx4
a small 25x4 or 50x2 amplifier can be had easily for under $50 used, and will make a tremendous difference in sound quality... without having to spend more on the radio for it to potentially fail again anyway.
A Dedicated amplifier will have a built in protection circuit that will shut down instead of blow the output ICs like your radio did.

Alpine cva-1004 no audio video ok

Many aftermarket car stereo has to output trigger wires, one antenna and one amplifier. Antenna trigger only works in radio mode for the power antenna to operate. Amplifier wire operates in any mode the stereo is in. Check to make sure you hooked up the correct blue wire to your amplifer.

Can the Pyle PLCD-42

Yes there is a couple possible ways.
1. Get 2 RCA Y adapters and split your Preamp Output you will not have any type of fader control this way because you are using a single output.

2. Run one amp from the radio with a set of RCA Cables.
Hook up amp #2 using a Line converter connected to the output of your stereo which will convert you to RCA the just run a cable to the amp..

3. If one of the amps has a High Level Input Run a set of speaker wires from the stereo outputs to the High level Input.
I personally prefer the above 2 methods I find Low Level input sounds better.

Hope this gives you some Ideas and helps

Still no sub woofer output

SET THE CROSSOVER TO "L.P.F."POSITION AND SELECT THE LOWEST FREQUENCY AS THE CROSSOVER POINT.
[AN AMPLIFIER IS SUPPOSED TO "AMPLIFY"(TO INCREASE)ANY OUTPUT.]

TRY CHANGING THE POLARITY OF WIRES FROM AMPLIFIER TO SPEAKERS /SUBWOOFER.{it leads to cancellation of bass output.}
if u still have doubt contact me again.
