Repair water leak on La Pavoni expresso maker at sight glass. I would like to find the exploded view of the machine so I can see what parts to order

I have the PROFESSIONAL model (PC16), it seems the sight glass is leaking, I need to see what parts are involved so I can order correct parts. Where can I see the exloded view of this machine?

SOURCE: Pavoni Si - leak from above filter holder

Check your screws in the bottom of the portafilter, If they are too tight the spring mechanism inside can't do its job, adjust them and it should work. Also, don't over fill your portafilter, if you put too much coffee in then there is to much pressure and again the water will flow from the top. Hope this helps

SOURCE: adding pressure gauge to Pavoni Europiccola

  1. in the boiler water is heated and presured up to 1.5 bar
  2. when water gets in lever and non return valve closes becouse you press the lever down, your energy is used to get high pressure, it should be frpm 7 up to 9 bar.
  3. SOLUTION==if you search way for modifying, you must consider that you must pump directly to group, not to boiler. in this case water will be cold (becouse comes from pump). you will need boiler in boiler to heat the water wich comes from pump before it gets to group. this is bit more complicated than you thought may bee but it is only solution.

SOURCE: Leaking water from the group and steam spout

Hi there,
You will need to take the machine apart completely as there are more gaskets inside the group head. You can buy an old group service kit at www.theespressoshop.co.uk for about £20 and it comes with an exploded diagram so you can see what goes where. Don't worry there is no technical mechanical solenoid like the last comment stated. I repair these machines for a living and all it needs is a good service.

There is water leakage on my La Pavoni Europiccola machine

Hi there,
I am a domestic coffee machine engineer based in Glasgow, Scotland and i service, repair and refurbish these machines on a daily basis. You will probably find that the gaskets which are holding the sightglass in place are completely solid and resemble a hard plastic like gasket. There will definately be gaskets there as if not the sightglass would rattle about and the water would pour straight out. It depends on which sight glass nuts you have but if they are the clear plastic nuts you will find either black, white or clear gaskets underneath and if the nuts are metal then you should see brass washers first and then the gaskets underneath the washers. These are easily replaced and can be purchased from our website www.theespressoshop.co.uk I hope this helps and if you have any further questions or queries then please do not hesitate to get in touch at domesticespresso@live.com

My La Pavoni Europiccola "exploded" this morning - I think it is the heating element. Is that a common problem - how expensive and easy is it to fix the machine?

Hi there, i am a domestic espresso machine engineer based in Glasgow and i specialise in La Pavoni machines. If you could get in touch with me at my e-mail address (coffeeservice@live.com) i will be able to help you but i will require some info from you about what happened. It sounds like a pressure problem or the thermostat has gone allowing the water to over boil and build up too much pressure. Pressurestat is most probable i reckon. If you give me an idea of what happened i will be able to help you. I work alongside the UK's lead supplier of La Pavoni spairs so have all bits in stock. E-mail me or give me a buzz on 0141 425 1083 and i can sort you out.

Water leaking from the group

Hi there,
You can buy a service kit for your machine at www.theespressoshop.co.uk and that contains all replacable gaskets and washers and gives you an exploded diagram and sachet of grease and descaler to get your machine back in as new working order. The service kit you require is the "old group service kit" and is about £20. If you go to the website above and click on the la pavoni machine on the right hand side of the home page it will give you the full parts list.
