Most of this symptoms is a caused by bad solder joints on the earphone jack of the player. The unit must be take apart and re-solder the joints of the earphone jack. You need a pointed soldering iron to do this. If the symptoms still persist, the fault is in the audio circuitry. You must sent it in because this is not DIY, parts are too small and surface mounted.
