Question about Minn Kota Endura 30 Freshwater Transom Mount Trolling Motor
I tried two separate - fully charged batteries; a marine battery and a car battery and still I am unable to get any life out of the trolling motor. I do not hear any humming from the unit nor movement on the prop when I cycle it on (forward or reverse). I tried manually rotating the prop, it does not appear to be stuck or jammed. The motor is relatively new, does not even have any scratches or chips on the bumper fin on the lower unit nor any dings on the props. Only used a dozen or so times. I am not the original purchaser, so I do not believe I have any access to the warranty. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.
One way to help isolate the problem is to turn the motor to an "on" position. Using a voltmeter, using the leads that go to the battery, test for continuity. If none, your problem is with the motor itself or the wiring inside the unit. Hopefully, you just have a loose connection. If the motor becomes warm or hot when connected to a charged battery while in "on" position, the motor is the problem.
