My john Deere sx95 blades not engaging plz help

When the blades on my John Deere fail to engage, I climb off the seat and look to see if the belt is still on. Belts get thrown, especially if you have too much grass on top of your deck. They also get stretched too much. I took a permanent marker and drew a picture of the direction of the belt around all of the pulleys. (Most mowers have this somewhere like on the deck or under the hood but I did my own).

just drain the tank, find the fuel line and put a valve in the fuel line like on snow blowers and lawn mowers.

Steering Wheel will turn when mowing. Trying to get steering wheel off as given in the John Deer Manual, but steering wheel frozen and won't budge. What else can be done to remove the steering wheel...

If you have the main nut removed, you can give the steering shaft a few shots of penetrating oil like Liquid Wrench or PB Blaster (available at auto parts stores). After lubing, let it soak at least a few hours. 24 is good. You may have to get one of those cheap "gear pullers" from like the Harbor Freight store to finally pull it off though.
