This watch has a very bright led display, if the numbers were to stay on for too long the battery would go dead very quickly. this is a design specification

My casio protrek 2500t watch is in power saving mode but even after keeping in dark for hours between 10pm and 6 am the display does not go off. Please help.

I own the same PRW-2500-1A (all black).Check if under the hours reading, PS appears. If yes, power saving function is activated.
Normally, Power Saving Function is enabled automatically (if activated) if the watch stays in complete dark for sometime. If after a couple of hours in the dark the watch comes suddenly under bright light, the display goes on immediately.Hour interval (10pm-6am) has nothing to do with Power Saver.
Try the following:
a)Deactivate and reactivate (or vice versa) the PS.
b)Leave the watch in the dark for a couple of hours .Then, still in the dark, try, using a very low power light (just that you can, barely read) to check if display is blank. If not you may have a problem with the light sensor found at the bottom of the display. Will be a very rare case but you have to take the watch to a CASIO authorized service.

Why my watch not display or blank after keep for long time

As this is a solar powered watch, there is the PS (Power Saver) function.
If PS is ON (which is by default) display will become blank if watch stays in the dark for sometime. As you bring it back in light, display will be activated automatically. You can switch PS to OFF and have display activated all the time even in dark (not recommended) but in this case battery will run short quickly. And this watch needs power as it is a multifunction watch + atomic time setting.

Casio PAW-1200T Tough Solar Pathfinder watch says OPEN. Watch has never been opened, and solar battery has full charge. Nothing works but the basic time and the light.

so here is the fix if you get op en display on your casio pathfinder or whatever model. mine happens to be a paw 1200t
1. you gotta break it open 2 pins each side band comes off.
2. pry off the side pieces. this exposes 4 screws.
3. the base then comes off be careful of the gasket.
4. once inside. notice a round circular object on the base and a small oval shiny gold copper piece.
5. For whatever reason the shiny copper piece has shifted and does not make contact with the tiny little springs there are 2 if you shift the base to make contact with the gold piece the op en goes away and watch is back to normal.
6. the fix is move this little piece back to where it belongs. i got lucky and the glue still held when i firmly moved it to its original location. super glue came to mind if it wont stay where it belongs.

7. gasket orientation and cleaning out the gasket channel is a given i used welding tip cleaners to do the intricate work. under the bands are very grungy. mine is about 5-6 years old. reassemble the way it came out.

if your battery is good and you get this op en look to your display for whatever reason this worked for me and if casio uses this as a warranty or warning of water coming in your watch it was a STUPID DUMB IDEA. those springs should be solid state and the watch is useless until it is fixed no light, no baro, no alt, no comp. notta and no buttons work. there is no reason whatsoever that this shiny copper thing shifts but it happened to me and my watch is working and my battery has had H or full power since day one.

Hey, this just happened to my nixon watch (I have the nixon housing - same setup as the lowdown) and what you have to do is simply hold in the light display button for about 3 seconds and the display won't disappear after the light times out.

hope this helps :)

I have set the light to stay on but it keeps turning off, can I get it to stay on permanently? Thank you

No, it would drain the battery in no time flat.

By the looks of the photo, the display will only be visible when the light is on & to have it on all the time will be exhausting. Unfortunately you have a "Stealth" type watch.

I need help setiing the time on my adidas adh4004 watch. The manual wont help!

You are right the manual is useless.

To set the watch it needs to be in T1 setting, you can do this by using the C (top right) button, to chose just push once and the number should change, hold to set it to T1.

After that, push the A button (top left), this should hopefully display 'Light'. If it still displays 'Offset' then you are still in T2 (offset lets you offset the GMT). Try the C steps again.

Once 'light' appears you can scroll through the menu using B (bottom left), at which point you should find the time selection option. It should be flasing, use the two far right up and down buttons to then set the time/date etc. Press B to move on to the next setting. When you are done press A.

"LoBATT" stays on in TIME mode (doesn't flash) ?

"lobatt" display is the watch battery. The foot pod uses the LED to indicate low battery and the heart rate monitor wont give a reading.

Time display does not stay on,I have to push light button

This can occur for many reaons. There could be a movement problem. But it can also be the battery is running slow. If the battery was replaced recently it could be that it needs to be resett. When the battery is replaced on most digital watches the battery and the AC of the watch need to be shorted.
