a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: HP laptop zv5000 will not boot.
The "Bootmgr is Missing" is basically telling you the Partition/s have either become Corrupt or Deleted. If you have more then 2 hard drives, check in the bios to see which one is set as master/slave, and also check the Boot Sequence order. Doubt whether re-seating the memory will do any good, as you would not evem get the Bootmgr is missing error if the Memory was unseated, You just need a clean install of windows put back on there.

Get Boot and Nuke, late version.
Burn it on CD
Boot the computer from CD, depending on the size of HD, process ends in 1 hour to 3 hours.
If the program notices a bad sector, this is a bad news. You have to google the program to rewrite the HD sectors . For each specific HD there is a specific program. Stay away from Toshiba computers. They refuse to share the program for their HD. Good luck.
It is a good idea to download boot and nuke in an USB mini drive. This is a must if a virus make your CD Rom disappear from Explorer.
