Sounds like a bad handle assembly. Unfortunately these are known for being quirky when the circuit board goes bad. There's nothing else to go wrong with the rest of the unit. Here's the part and number. Good Luck

Clog somewhere how do i get inside to empty

There is a single screw that holds the handle and bag housing in place. Lay the handle down and you should be able to see the screw on the motor outlet. Remove the screw ( or nut and bolt on some models ) and wiggle the handle upward to remove it and check for blockage. If you set the upper assembly down, be careful not to break the plastic switch rod which protrudes from the bottom.

Empty, new bag and still no suction, hose is clear

If the motor is running it probably means a blockage somewhere in the system.
Turn off the machine and up plug it for safety.
You could use a wire coat hanger (unbent) to gently probe the tubes for blockages.
Check where the bag fits onto the machine - explore down here - if you find a blockage then fashion a hooky thing to help pull the junk out - be careful not to damage the pipes.
Turn off the machine and up plug it for safety.
Only plug it back in when everything is safely back in place and you are certain you are safe.

Vacuum cleaner shut off if you try to use the hose or off beater

With the cleaner on. move the cable where it enters the cleaner through a rubber grommet. There is a common fault with these cleaners that the cable breaks at that point. soon the cleaner wont work at all until it is rewired.

It runs for a couple of minutes shuts off then restarts 30 seconds later runs a couple of minutes and does this over and over

Most vacuum motors are protected from overheating by a thermal switch that resets after cooling down. Check for blockage in the hose,
power head or a full bag that would block cooling air from cooling the motor.

With a new bag -after turning vacuum on, it shuts down

This vac is prone to a control valve failure with the exact symptoms you describe. There is a dial valve on top of the machine designed to regulate how full the bag will get. The valve which sits underneath the dial on the vac likely has a broken plunger and will need to be replaced. Take it to an AERUS Electrolux dealer / shop for an experienced tech to work on.

Electrolux Epic 6500SR Full Bag sensor working, Does not Reset properly

The problem was a sticking switch that was not being reset. The vacuum on/off switch mechanism is comprised of two switches. One is the main switch that turns the vacuum on and off. The second is a shut off switch that gets tripped when the full bag sensor is engaged. This second switch is supposed to get reset when you push the on/off switch on the outside of the machine. The full bag shutoff switch was stiff and it, therefore, was taking a couple of presses of the on/off switch to move the shutoff switch back into the running position.

Where is the reset button on the electolux 2100

There is no reset button on the 2100. If it shuts down, the indicator lights will tell you why. If it has been overheated, there is a self-resetting switch which will shut the motor down and the light will come on to indicate that particular problem. When you turn the machine off and then back on, it should re-start provided you have given the motor ample time to cool down. This will not solve the problem as to why it overheated in the first place. There are also lights and auto-switches that will control full bag and no bag. The machine will not run with no bag and a full bag will cause it to run for a few seconds and shut off.

Dirt Devil Featherlite not picking up

It sounds like you have a blockage somewhere. The brush roll will still gather material, but if the suction is insufficient, it will spit it back out eventually. Take the bag out and check at the connection for blockage. When you are sure it's clear, put in a new bag and turn the machine on. The bag should inflate rapidly. If it does not, check elswhere for blockage.
