Question about Polaroid OneStep Express Instant Camera

1 Answer

Stopped taking pictures

I have a Polaroid One Step Express Instant 600 Camera, and it has been working beautifully up until today.

I took a couple photos earlier on, and the sound when the polaroid actually came out sounded really slow and as if it was going to jam. It didnt actually Jam until the 4th picture i took today.

It has now stopped taking pictures COMPLETELY. when i press in the button, just... nothing happens.

Could this be something like a battery? Or should i start my search for a new camera online.

Thank you!
-Hannah

How old is the film in camera & when did you put in the film?

Polaroid's battery is built in with the film package.
If the package is old or been in the camera for a long time battery may be low or dead.

Try changing film out.

Good Luck! Hope this helped. Please rate.

What kind of batteries does the Spirit 600 Polaroid camera take? Where is the slot for the batteries? Where is the power switch? How do I take pictures with it?

The battery is in the film cartridge if there is no power battery must be dead. Polaroid has stopped making instant fill a couple of years back. Each film catridge came with a non rechareable and non replaceable battery. You may be able to hunt down some old cartridges, but finding a working battery could be impossible.

Polaroid 600 Camera, won't take a picture.

How old is the film in it?

Polaroid film packs have a battery included (a polarpulse powercell, I think).

If its an old film, the battery can go flat and as far as I'm aware there's no way to get power in to it.

I would take the cartridge out, (effectively not use the last shot), try a new cartridge to see if its working properly, then send the old cartridge back to Polaroid, if you think its faulty.

POLAROID SOS

The battery in the film pack may be dead, or the camera is broken. Take the film pack out and replace it. If the camera does not reset then the camera is gone.

POLAROID ONE STEP EXPRESS INSTANT CAMERA

there is no battery in the camera. the battery comes from the film. the film has a battery in it already. you MUST have film in the camera for the light to go on and the flash to go off. all polaroid camera's are the same. you must have the film in the camera for it to work.

Help with Polaroid 600 film choices & how to use One Step Cameras

the flash will work when you put film in. the film has a battery and the camera works off the battery in the film. the arrows make the picture dark or light.
the polaroid spectra onyx made in 1987 is a totally sharp and beautiful looking camera. you also can put filters on the front of it. this camera was used by law enforcement many years ago so it is made very steardy and well. i own one myself and the pictures are perfect everytime. look this camera up on Ebay, you will not be disappointed.

also, here is a website for you to look up film information
polaroids.theskeltons.org

this website will have everything you need and more

Polaroid 600 picture

coachq:

I guess the films are over-aged!
I had many film cameras and two polaroid's. the latter for instant needs. but frankly, with cheap DC's available today, whoelse need a polaroid that films are expensive and difficult to get?

my advice: trash it!
