SOURCE: I have a Jandy lite
The gas valve has a pilot solenoid which is powered by inessence a thermocouple called a thermopile which converts heat from the pilotto a millivolt output which is why you have to hold the pilot valve till itmakes electricity. The main gas valve goes through a series of safety switchesand through the thermostat so if any switch has a bad or open contact theheater will never fire. Find the bad part with a continuity tester and replaceit. Hope this will help you.
