Question about Uniden Cordless Phone
Uniden Cordless Phone - replaced battery & plugged and unplugged everything on all 3 phones - still says "searching". What else can I try?

I don't know if this helps, but perhaps the problem is using two or more phones. On a whim, I charged a Uniden EXP 970 that my daughter gave me a few years ago. Charged right up and it has been working for about two days. I didn't think it would charge at all but to have it actually work, I was amazed!! Will post if it quits anytime soon.
FYI I bought two phones from AT&T, each around $200 and neither of them worked after a week. I was not happy! These less expensive phones seem to do a much better job!

SOURCE: Hi my uniden cordless phone
You have to go to menu on your head set and on the phone that is hooked up to the wall and go to menu on it then go to register base on both phones and hit that and then it will register your hand set. That should fix your problem.

After its deleted then its deleted forever. These are not like the old answering machines that all you did was pull the plug and plugged it back into the wall outlet to retrieve old messages was were deleted. When digital you can not do that....Sorry

disconnect the ac adapter from the base - before you plug the phone back in with power - press and hold down the menu button (center silver button under the led display) and the number "1" and then plug it back in - keep holding those two buttons until the date and time reappears - it worked for me and it didnt erase the phone numbers stored in the base unit.

1.Check that the base unit's AC adapter is plugged into the both the base unit and electrical outlet firmly.
2.Wipe the base unit's handset holder's connectors and the connectors on the bottom of the handset with a soft cloth/rag or pencil eraser to remove any loose dust and dirt from the metal connectors.
