Boilers do not filter air, as they heat with water.... Most boilers do not require home owner manitenance, unless your circulators need to be oiled

You definetly have a control issue. However trying to diagnose the exact problems that you have would be very difficult without actually seeing the wiring. You defintely have a wiring/control issue but I cannot tell you exactly what it is without more info. Sorry, I would love to help you more...

Finally found one for you John. Follow this link. It will get you a scanned copy that I checked, it seems OK.
Cut and paste the link into http:// box (is that the correct technicaL term, I think not!!).
You should see the manual listed on the page it takes you to, select it and download. It's a 5 Mb file and I have checked it for viruses etc. all seems ok.

Lockout is gonna be a manual reset switch. Typically its in the burner section. Check controls that have wires going into them and a manual rereset button. Let me know which one is tripped.
