    l4e0043,

There is no E17 code for MPI products. Take another look and when you write back tell us your model and how long it has been in service. That will help us a lot.

I have had the intake portion of the outside intake/exhaust fitting get packed in by freezing up during a windy storm, cutting off the intake air and giving an error 17. Had to get up on a ladder and chip away the packed snow and ice to open up the airway.

Pull the front trim and grill, in the right side of the cabinet (lower right) you'll see the gas valve with a rubber tube going to it from the blower housing , trim about a 1/4" from each end and reinstall. Also check the ends on all other rubber hoses.

Yea there is an e17 error code on at least the monitor gf3800. the error code means according to the manual and other online resourses means that the fan is blocked, the intake or output vent is clogged, or there is insufficient fuel due to another appliance running on the same either lp or natural gas using the pressure. Apparently there are other reasons for the error code, as mine is also flashing e17 and all vents are clear, fan operates normally, and this is the only lp appliance I have in the house. Searched the internet for answers and only found the same question. hope someone figures this thing out and posts it somewhere (anywhere) on the net. you figure it out, let me know.

same error code. unit shuts off and does not heat. I had griffith energy and they were raping me so I switched. after they removed the tank I noticed dry grass in the lines, shoved down the line. new company cleared out what they could and said it was working fine. now this. don't ever use griffith energy. they lie, are overpriced and will sabotage your system before they leave.

I have an mpi monitor heater flashing e-17 code..... Any ideas?

You probably have the GF1800 or GF3800 model.

The E-17 code means: Flame Failure

Possible Causes:
There are obstacles at circulation air inlet or outlet.
Fan cage is clogged with dust.
Gas pressure dropped when other gas
appliances are turned on.

Monitor MPI it flashes F 13 or 14 & smells, I had it cleaned 6 months ago

The codes are "E" Codes. an E13 is no fuel. E-14 means flame rod malfunction. Unplug the heater then reconnect, this will reset the heater. Try your red prime button. Could also be the fuel pump or your fuel source feed line isn't flowing fuel.

I have a bosch lifestyle dishwasher that keeps coming up e17...we have had plumbers around and there is no problem with pipes or water so what else can it be

You did not specify the model so I can only assume what means the alarm code E17 - probably water level too high - flow sensor.
The dishwasher has, for some reason detected an overfill and is reporting that through this error code. The flow sensor note is there as that can cause this fault code to be displayed.

I have an MPI monitor heater model gf 1800. It keeps flashing E17. why?

My GF 1800 was flashing the e17 code as salenski_mar said.If all is clear around vent pipe, sufficient fuel in tank, ect. take the front cover off the unit,2 sheet metal screws on bottom side left and right(remove power first)on the left side of my unit there is a round black barell shaped container called a heat exchanger.Located about halfway up a small panel with 2 white tube shaped wires going into it.remove 4 screws on this panel and remove the panel.
There are 3 electrodes here . carefully clean these with a rag or fine sandpaper.
Reassemble and retry the heater.I watched a heating tech do this to my unit and charge me $75.00 last year.Did it again this year and I saved a service call.Actualy I believe he used a $20.00 bill instead of sandpaper but clean the flame sensor and it may work.worth a try.

Dell monitor e17s fbp.. wont turn on

Flashing power LED light means you may have shorted (Emitter to Collector) out transistors (c5707) or bad fuse (fuse has high resistance) PF751. Those are what you need to check. see pictures here: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/Dell%20E173FPb/

I just bought my washer today and it won't finish the first cycle. It is showing "E17" and won't drain. What does "E17" mean and how can i fix my washer. Help!!

When the washer shows error code E17 you need to turn the tap fully on and check that the supply hose is not bent or jammed up, next make sure the filter is clean. Then make sure the water pressure is not too low. After you do all that, run a load with no clothes in the washer and use one cup of white vinegar and the code will dissappear

I have a front loading bosch washing machine and it is flashing the code e17

Hi harleyd81899,

F17 Turn the tap on fully, check that the supply hose is not kinked/jammed; clean filter. Also check water pressure is not too low If all these test ok you need to run a load with no clothes with 1 cup of white vinegar this will solve your issue.
