This most likely was a remote ON/OFF for the amplifiers, sometimes it is easier to do than locating the remote wire on the dash unit.

DEI viper alarm acting up? cant get alarm to work, Read on

(This guide may provide help on temporarily disabling a alarm until a repair can be made)
If your alarm goes off constantly or does not armed by itself:

Does the alarm arm and disarm properly? If it does proceed, if it doesn't, then have it checked by your installer.

1. Check and make sure your dome light is not staying on. If it is make sure all doors are closed and/or the dome
light switch is not turned on.
2. Check your sensor. Make sure they are not too sensitive. They can cause false alarm and also cause the system
not to arm by itself.
3. The alarm current sensing might be detecting voltage drop from the battery of the car or current draw from an
equipment (maybe left on).
If your car won't start check the following:

1. Does the alarm arm and disarm properly. If it does chances are is not the alarm.
2. When you try to start the car the alarm goes off.. It could be your battery.
3. Try to start no sound, nothing lights up, alarm doesn't work. It could be a loose battery terminal or dead battery.
4. Everything lights up, alarm works fine, but car still won't start. I could be a bad starter, starter disable in the alarm
or check and make sure the car is in "PARK" or press the clutch all the way down to the floor.
To activate the Valet Mode do the following:

There is a push button or toggle switch to disable the alarm (to engage the valet mode). Without knowing where this
switch is you won't be able to disconnect the alarm.

1. Put the key in the ignition and turn it to the "on" position.
2. Flip the toggle or hold the push button for at least 5 seconds.
3. The LED. light will stay solid on.
4. Turn the ignition off
5. Release the push button. If you have a toggle leave it alone in step 2
To de-activate the Valet Mode do the following:

There is a push button or toggle switch to enable the alarm (to disengage the valet mode). Without knowing where this switch is you won't be able to reconnect the alarm.

1. Put the key in the ignition and turn it to the "on" position.
2. Flip the toggle or hold the push button for at least 1 seconds no more than 2 seconds on most DEI products,
keep it pressed in.
3. Turn the ignition off.
4. The LED. light will be off.
5. Release the push button. If you have a toggle leave it alone as described in step 2.

Looking for 6 disc cd magazine for jbl stereo system for ford explorer limited edition 1995

I had the same problem with my 96 limited-got it used from a dealer and it didnt have the magazine- so i looked on ebay and i looked on ford products websites and they want an arm and a leg for those things - but i found one at the junkyard in the trunk of a ford taurus and i paid 2 bucks for it and it worked just fine-dont know if that helps you but the magazines seem to be universal because the taurus wasnt the premium stereo and mine was and it still works -good luck
