Remove all antivirus products you dont use, and use only one product at time. There is a few good products on the internet....and most of them is for free.
Remove all search products called mostly "Tool Bars" it already builtin in the most of the surf products. It is only more work for the computer.
Try to update from Microsoft Update regulary, if not helps, backup all your Photos and all important documents in My Documents and after backup reinstall the computer.
If your running XP. Delete or uninstall the drivers. Then scan for hardware changes and it will install new drivers...The drivers install may have become corrupt...
I would first try scanning the computer your self. Please click here to start a free online web-based scan of your system, this looks for virus, trojan, spyware infections so should hopefully clean your system. Once the scan completes it should prompt you to remove anything found.
If this doesn't help then yes take the system back to where you purchased it for support. Make sure you backup your files first.
