What is a capture card and where do I get it?

Hi,

A Video Capture Card and TV Capture Card allow you to send a Video or TV signal to your Computer. The signal can then be recorded to the Computers Hard Drive with TV or Video Capture Software.

There are several different kinds of Capture Cards on the market, with varying functions. This article will focus on what to look for when buying a Capture Card, depending on the use of the card.

You will be able to pick a card up from the likes of PC World, Radioshack etc....

HOW T DO I CONECT A VHS VIDEO RECORDER TO MY WINFAST TV 2000XP EXPET TV CAPTURE CARD ?

Your VHS recorder has a Coaxe output! So does your card the sound will be replicated there as well, now it would not hurt to get a capture card that has those plugs as you rendering would be much more prestine. Pluag you VHS into the coaxe input on your card set the channel to 3 and you got it bud!!!

Pci tv captur card recarding time sound problem no sound

Most PCI capture cards are designed to receive digital audio and video from a source like a camera and send it to the hard drive for writing. If the sound from your recording device during playback is okay you can guess that the PCI card is doing what it is supposed to do. If video is recording properly I would say you have a speed mismatch between the PCI card and your hard drive.

Philips SAA7130 TV Tuner/FM Radio/Video PCI Capture Card problems

Have you checked the installation? - most PCI capture cards use the audio card of the PC for sound. A jumper cord is needed to come out the capture card and into the audio line-in jack. Green jack on the capture card is OUT, and the Blue jack on the sound card is Line IN.
