Homemark has shown us the consumer of the Melix Cafe Barista the "middle finger" by not even supplying coffee capsules for the the said product sold by them awhile ago, when one contacts them all they say is buy the new coffee machine from them and this is where i hope all future Homemark consumer will rather stay away from all Homemark products and rather buy from reputable bussiness which have backup services for their products

I inherited an Milex Cafe Barista coffee maker (the capsule type) Any ideas on how to clean it, especially the part where the capsule goes ? I don't have the manual. Thanks

First; I am NOT a Milex repairman. Though I have worked on mini espresso machines. Most use dedicated circuit boards and parts that need to be purchased directly from your vendor or the MFR. There are no serviceable parts in any of these machines. Like TVs and Radios, unless under warranty is cheaper to just replace it.
** Now for those tinkering diehards; If you collect a lot of these then you will probably able to swap out common parts for these small home machines. The vibrating pumps usually clog up and can be salvaged, though it's very tedious work.
You can salvage; limit fuses, fuse, pump, thermal fuse, switches, and always keep the portafilters and accessories as you may need one if working on coffee equipment,
**Last, Don't bother repairing not worth the time.. If you have a working machine then take care of it and follow the MFR's cleaning procedures. Good Luck, Stay safe!

Cafe barista not frothing

the frother gradually gets milk buildup and loses suction- an air blast through the milk tube and up the spout (can get an aerosol at hardware store) will help as well as the cleaning cycle. Also I used a q tip to the top of the spout several times but just had the q tip top come off and may have blocked it completely

When I select the large size, it only dispenses a small amount. Was working fine yesterday...

This sometimes happens if you are using a pod/capsule meant for brewing espresso (lower liquid volumes). Perhaps the capsules are packed differently (ie. tighter for espresso pods, looser for coffee pods) and the machine detects these differences, but I'm not sure. On my machine (nespresso brand) there are two buttons, one for espresso (small liquid volume) and one for coffee (larger liquid volume). When I want to make a larger volume, I choose a pod appropriate for making a larger volume. These volumes are usually written somewhere on the sleeve/espresso box, or in the hand booklet that describes that lists the variety of pods offered by the company.
I hope this helps.

Nespresso machine does not punch hole on the capsules after close

This problem is most likely being caused by air being trapped in the system. To fix this, please follow the following steps: -

- Turn on the Machine, ensuring there is water in the tank
- Wait until the light stops flashing and the machine is ready for use
- Lift the silver lever on top of the machine into the upright position
- Press the coffee button on your machine
- Push the silver lever back, away from you, and hold it in this position for 3 seconds
- Press the coffee button again to stop the water flow

This procedure releases the air blockage in the system and your machine should function normally again.

Need to convert gaggia baby from capsule use to regular coffee

Yes, as far as I know most machine that use pods just have a different portafilter, because of the way the pods are setup.

Mine is a red O-ring about 2 1/4" diameter, the same as some automotive brake calipers. A well equipped mechanic or parts store like NAPA should have a supply of O-rings with the proper size, best to take your strainer in to test fit.
