Question about Sharp AR-507 Copier
The scanner comes ot and coming in to home makes a zipping sound then slowly drags to home throwing L3-00 everytime. I tried adjusting the bracket spacing behind the motor all three level notches. The wires were not toched they remain factory defalt. its been a headache any possible tips?? need help thanks
It could be the Mirror Home Position Sensor malfunction, it's located at the upper left section of the upper frame, if the copy lamp is in its home position, there's a lever/part of the copy lamp that actuated this photo sensor. Try clean that tiny gap with a hand blower, if L3 still occur then you should change it.

Tips for a great answer:
Improper CCD white reference plate
reading level for copy lamp lighting
You can try taking the glass off and cleaning the white strip under the **** glass, the mirrors and the lamp. If that doesn't work it could be the flat cable coming loose of the scanner or the CCD going bad.
