How to make the freezer door on a kenmore elite 74033 tilt

Refrig of the year: Kenmore Elite 74033 Refrigerator
Consumer Reports Rated: Excellent

Hello Charles,

Just when I'm thinking Sears SERVICE is NOT some sort
of sad/bad joke... you put in a Kenmore Elite Model number...

continued search found your Owners Manual... Pages 10 & 16 are what you want

The front should be slightly higher than the rear to aid in door closing... (page 10)

Your refrigerator has two front leveling legs-one on the right and one on the left. Adjust the legs to alter the tilt from front-to-back or side-to-side. If your refrigerator seems unsteady, or you want the doors to close more easily, adjust the refrigerator's tilt using the instructions below: NOTE: Tools Required: 11/16" wrench or flat blade screwdriver.
1. Turn the leveling leg to the left to raise that side of the refrigerator or to the right to lower it. It may take several turns of the leveling leg to adjust the tilt of the refrigerator.
NOTE: Having someone push backward against the top of the refrigerator takes some weight off of the leveling legs. This makes it easier to adjust the legs.
2. Open both doors again and check to make sure that they close easily. If the doors do not close easily, tilt the refrigerator slightly more to the rear by turning both leveling legs to the left. It may take several more turns, and you should turn both leveling legs the same amount... (page 16)

`` After that...

All you have to do to maximize that efficiency is keep the closure area free of pizza boxes, ice cubes or errant frozen food bags.

Hope this was helpful...

How do I adjust the height of my whirlpool ingregrated dishwasher

Whirlpool dishwashers have 2 rollers on the back leg area. Some had extra holes to raise or lower the rollers somewhat by unbolting the rollers and moving them to one of the other holes. However you want to make sure the dishwasher is installed with a slight tilt front to back with the front higher. If you tilt it the other way it will probably result in a door leak. Make sure front is higher than the back.

You will have to remove it from its installed location. This means unhook the water supply and drain hoses. Then you pull the screws out that hold it to the counter top. Then slide the unit out until you can see the back. The rear legs usually screw in and out to raise and lower the unit.

Leveling kenmore elite front loader

  • Place the level on the top of the washing machineicon1.png to see if it is level. Make sure you test it side to side and front to back.

Pull the washing machine away from any walls if you have to make an adjustment to the legs.

  • Lift the washericon1.png and place the wood block underneath the washer. Place the block near the leg that needs to be adjusted, but don't let it obstruct the leg.

  • Loosen the nut that secures the legicon1.png with the wrench.

  • Raise the height of the leg by twisting it to the left, or lower the height by twisting it to the right.

  • Remove the block of wood from under the washer and recheck the machine with the level.

  • Raise or lower the leg if additional adjustments are needed.

  • Tighten the nut on the leg with the wrench when the machine is level.

  • Repeat the process for each leg that needs to be adjusted.

  • Move the washer back into position and check with the level again to make sure the washer remains stable to finish leveling the machine.

I have a LG LD 2140WH diswasher, it only works for 2 min then give a OE error code. what can be wrong

    The possible reasons could be
    1. If the drain hose is kinked, water will not drain properly. Kinks will also catch food debris as it passes, clogging drain hose. Straighten any kinks or bends in the hose. Make certain that drain hose does not exceed 10 feet for proper drainage.

    2. Check the drain air gap anytime the dishwasher is not draining properly. if the air gap is clogged the unit will not drain. The air gap is not part of the dishwasher. It is located on the sink and attached through the drain hose and garbage disposal. Not all homes are required to have an air gap installed.

    3. Food residue or particles can prevent proper draining of dishwasher. Remove bottom rack and check unit for food debris or items that may have fallen into the bottom of the unit. Remove any items or food debris that may be preventing proper drainage.

    4. If the unit is not leveled properly, OE Error may occur. Use a level to check sides and top of unit. if the unit is not level, adjust the leveling legs in the front and back (use leveling kit). Also check the mounting brackets. If one is tightened more than the other, it will offset the cabinet.

    * Note: To adjust leveling legs on the front, use a 1/4" square drive wrench. Turn clockwise as needed to adjust level. To adjust rear legs, use a standard Phillips head screw driver. On the left side rear, turn the screw counterclockwise to lower the leg and raise the rear. To adjust right side rear, turn the adjusting screw clockwise to lower the leg and raise the rear of dishwasher. Using a level while adjusting the legs will help aid in proper leveling.

    1. Make certain the water supply valve is turned on. Check the inlet hose for any kinks or bends in the line that could prevent unit from filling properly. Check drain hose for proper installation. If water drains immediately, unit will display an IE Error Code.
    2. Check the water supply valve and make certain that it is turned on and open fully or this code will display.
    3. Check the inlet valve filter for buildup of mineral deposits. If the inlet valve filter is clogged it will restrict water flow is restricted into the dishwasher, resulting the IE Error. Clean filter with small brush to remove any accumulated mineral deposits that may have accumulated.
    4. If inlet hose is kinked, water flow into the dishwasher, is restricted resulting the IE Error. Straighten any bends or kinks in the inlet hose. If the drain hose is not installed properly and the water drains out of unit, this could cause premature draining, which results in IE Error Code. In this case it will be necessary to reinstall the drain hose according the instructions in the installation guide.
    5. If the water pressure is not 20 - 120 psi, water will not fill properly. This will result in IError Code. If water pressure is too low, it may be necessary to call for service.
    6. During winter, parts of the dishwasher that are installed outside may freeze. Melt the frozen part by soaking a towel in warm water and wrapping it around the part. This should allow the dishwasher to operate.
    7. If the unit is not leveled properly, the IE Error may occur. Use a level to check the sides and top of the unit. If the unit is not level, adjust the leveling feet in the front and back. Use the leveling kit packaged with the dishwasher. Check mounting brackets.

It is nice these days as many washers and dryers are self leveling with just a little effort. The rear legs have the self leveling setup but if you dryer is old the adjusters maybe rusted. Try this... look at the front from a few steps back you will see the front two legs, they will probably be even. Unplug the dryer and slightly pull away from the wall, not to far as the dryer hose may disconnect. Tilt the dryer forward pivoting on the front legs (just raise the back a couple inches off the floor) and then let it drop. if the legs are self leveling this act may have leveled things. If the legs are rusted a little more aggression is needed maybe with the help of a parts solvent spray (56 or WD-40 etc.)
If your dryer is older then you have adjustable legs that need to be rotated one at a time until the dryer is level.

Your washer has self adjusting rear legs . Tilt the machine foreward and look at the back legs . If one is stuck in , use a screwdrive and pry it out till both legs are in the out position . Set washer back down slowly and the rear legs will automatically adjust .

Raising back legs on Ariston LL65SNA

The red nut driver plugs are located on the front of the dishwasher under the toe kick. The reason for this is that you need to slide the dishwasher in place before you raise the legs, otherwise you will probably bend or break the adjusting legs. You can raise the legs a little if you need to clear the water and power lines, but be careful when sliding the unit in. If you use a socket wrench with a long extension on the driver it will be much easier.
