I have a flashing screen on my samsung le40m87bdx. Would replacing the power board solve this?

Really depends on whats flashing and how, if the screen backlight LED's are flashing the likely culprit will be the Backlight Inverter Board 4H.V2358.061/F, if its more of a flicker with lines on the screen the fault may be with the T-Con Board

Dell backlight indicators

A computer monitor has a front-mounted LED that displays its current status and flashes in the event of an error. When an error occurs, the flashing may be accompanied by an error message on the screen. If the screen does not display an error message, the problem most likely falls into one of four common categories.

Unsupported Display Mode A video card has the ability to send output to the monitor at many display resolutions and refresh rates. However, no single monitor is capable of supporting every possible display mode. When the video card sends an unsupported display mode to the monitor, the monitor shuts off to prevent damage and blinks, or displays an error message. Standby Mode b> When a monitor detects no video signal from the computer, it assumes that you have turned the computer off and enters standby mode to reduce power consumption. Dell and HP monitors display an amber light when in standby mode. The status light on an Apple monitor blinks slowly. Incorrect Power Supply Some monitors such as certain Apple Cinema and Studio displays use external power adapters. Because different power adapters may have similar connectors, these monitors are designed to detect when an incorrect power supply is connected and blink the status LED rather than attempting to turn on. In the case of an Apple display, the LED blinks in an alternating short and long pattern. b> Backlight Failure b> A flat panel LCD display has an LED or fluorescent backlight that illuminates the pixels and makes it possible to see the contents of the screen. If the backlight fails and requires replacement, the monitor is unable to display any information. In some cases, you may be able to resolve this issue by turning the monitor and computer off, disconnecting and reseating all cables. If the monitor still has a backlight issue, it requires professional service.

Screen is like a strobe

Problem is inverter, backlight or PSU. The backlight lamps that illuminate the LCD display are flashing. This creates the "kind of strobe" effect that you see. There are several possible causes for the problem.

The lamps themselves are defective. The lamps do not fire up completely and keep flashing. The lamps are not sold alone but they are part of the LCD display. If the lamps are gone the TV is not worth repairing.

The inverter is the high voltage board that supplies the backlight lamps. If the inverter is defective it can still be replaced. Testing is done reading DC in, checking high voltage out, and using an oscillator to test the phase of the AC out signal generated by the inverter oscillator section.

PSU or main controllers may be defective. This will less common in case of flashing back-light. Test this if the inverter is OK and if the problem is DC voltage input to inverter.

Power on green light flashing no display on da monitor

The flashing green light and no display usually means that the backlight circuit has failed. You can verify this by shining a flashlight on the dark screen and see if there is an image. If there is an image, then the problem is the backlight circuit. Often the problem with the circuit is that the transistors burn out. There are sellers on ebay that sell repair parts kits to fix these monitors if you are handy or you can bring to to an electronic repair service to have it fixed.

First: better use kasperaskey anti virus.
If your desktop pc or laptop has antivirus,
have your pc scan your phone memory through bluetooth, or usb cable

If you have Virus On mobile

2 - dial *#7780# or *#7073*
3 - It format your Phone
4 - Format memory card.

I have a 9530. It is a verizon phone flashed to cricket. Since the flash the display has become erratic, sometimes half of it displays, then the buttons from last screen stay , buttons woulds smear, etc......

"flashing" the phone has no effect on your display. Sounds like 1 of 2 problems:
1) Your display is bad 2) Your midplate is bad

My mobile phone Samsung SGH J600 keeps flashing when turned on, can you please help

How do you mean 'flashing'?

- is the display going on and off?
This is hardware error - probably damaged flat cable

- Is the backlight flashing?
Probably still hardware problem, could be short cut by water damage..

Best advice in either cases is to get it back to a shop.

Pink color should be blue also flashing screen

If you hear the hard drive spinning and you think Windows is working but you can't see an image then :-
You could have a defective screen - a defective inverter or a CCFL lamp or simply the video cable needs reseating. After reseating the video cable and the problem is still there then :-
To determine if you have a LCD screen or video card problem, read this and follow the instructions.

Defective CCFL backlight, it may have the following symptom:

  • Screen flashs on red/pink and off.
  • Picture stays on in red and slowly be come normal.
  • Picture flickering with dim display or appear black.
  • Picture flickering on and off.
All these symptoms indicate that the LCD backlight lamp (CCFL Lamp) has reached the end of the life and all you need to do is replacing the CCFL lamp

Connect an external monitor to your laptop and power it up, if you see the normal Windows images then the video card and laptop is OK and the problem is definitely the backlight.

Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight and it could be the inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp or it is the CCLF lamp is nearly burnt out or burnt out, most likely this is the case.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.
