Well it could be that the console is dirty and needs to be cleaned out. To open up an N64 console you need a 4.5mm bit game tool and compressed air cans thats how i clean my consoles out. Or the expansion pack might be doing this so try cleaning out the expansion pack and the slot that it goes into with qutips and rubbing alcohol and clean out the cartiages too and clean out the cartage slot with qutips and rubbing alcohol. Well the worst case is that there is something internally wrong with your console.
