Question about Computers & Internet
Please check out my super detailed question 45 minutes ago. Was being hacked by Activ or Activi Trak Agent 188.8.131.52, AT&T could not find it & 2-3 computer experts later whom claimed to know there mess, said there was nothing on my computers if there hadf ever been, once they did there thing...Does anybody that claims to be an expert really know a dAMN THING? Found the Agent inn hidden files & deleted it & uninstalled it by installing it on my laptop so I could use it on the screwing with me, but decided to just use it to uninstall all applications of the software. Can no longer find it in hidden files or folders. Something else remotely downloaded? All I know is that after a 2 week sleep, cursor is moving on screen again by itself. I think thwee only time I might be safe is when I have computer turned off. Much more info on previous post. Please help me stop the key logging, the web mail sites visited screen shots(I have seen them inside files), the pics that have been removed or copied from my computer or computers & added to a Linklen file of my exwife(from there website) & all I know is that when I download(trasfer a copy of file) to my laptop screen( it does not show up for weeks), but then all of a sudden, I click on the folder & 2 naked pics pop out at me. Is no one smarter than she is...I almost think I could be an expert for someone & I can almost type now. Check out my detailed post. Ken
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
Here's a link to this great service

If your monitor goes to sleep, how do you know it got to window xp screen ?
Sound like your stuck in a loop (bad boot sector). You might have to reinstall windows again.

I think that avg is a great program. One problem you might be facing is low system specs. How much memory do you have and what do you have for a processor? Basically what is happening is that the avg file is still embedded in the registry because it was not properly uninstalled. Some of those programs are very hard to uninstall especially norton. Norton is a pain in the ***.
Anyways. One thing that you can do is go to start, run...then type msconfig BAsically you will go through the services and start-up files that you want to run. Uncheck if you dont want them to run. I suggest to hide all microsoft services. Now unselect any avg file.
Then when you restart since the system isnt trying to load that dll..then you may be able to delete it.
If not, at least you should be able to help a little.
btw. 2 antivirus programs installed on the same computer will cause conflicts as well. be careful I use the avg free edition and its great for me. Stay away from porn and warez/ free downloaded games...etc.

Run your anti virus in safe mode. Write down the name/names of the viruses it finds. This is very important so you can search for them and delete them. Delete them thru the anti virus in safe mode then restart your pc. Then go to control panel/internet options and delete all Temporary internet files/ cookies/history. It's best to do in this order: on general tab under home page, check if you see any "redirect" in your addresses or any changes from your original home pages. If you do highlight them & delete/re enter them correctly. Below is Browsing history/settings/view files/hit ctrl key and "A" key at the same time to highlight all temp files.Delete.On toolbar above click on yellow folder with a green arrow pointing up which will show you another file named Temp. Open/delete all.Close all windows. Go to start/search and type in each name of the virus/viruses you found first clicking "all files and folders", name of virus in first bar, scroll down to "more advanced options" and check first 3 search options. If any show up in your search pane on right side don't click to open them. Right click and delete. There is a free software called "Simple File Shredder". If you can now download get it for the files that won't delete. When you install it, it will add it to your right click. After searching and hopefully deleting each one, do another search of "prefetch". Open/highlight all/delete. Restart and most viruses will be gone. It's always good to repeat all of this again just to be sure. Then check your firewall exceptions to make sure there aren't any there. Good luck!!!
You mentioned LimeWire: clean out all downloaded files from there also.

Actually that addresses that keep pop-upping when you type the address is the history of the programs or the application form that is stored in the computer for future references or for fast selection... there are many solution for that problem. for example in your browser. if you use Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer all you have to do is to clear the history of the browser by going to browser options and selecting delete history button and you have to do that in each browser that you have.. but is you want the history of all the logs that you maid will be erased I suggest using CCleaner.. it will clean history in your browser and application forms and other logs in other programs........ you can download the programs in www.ccleaner.com and its free to use.. you can also configure the CCleaner what programs you want to erase the history.. TY
HOPE I CAN HELP
