Question about Acer Aspire 5735 Notebook

Shift keys don't work

I have to shift2 to get the @ sign and shift ' to get " sign, in addition when i shift3 i get a hash sign & don't have a pound sign anywhere..anyone else had the same issue?

    aparently it's beacuse it was set up on US keyboard, i chnaged it to the UK and it works great now

    Did the keys work correctly before?

    Did you install any new hardware or software before this problem started?

CANNOT FIND POUND SIGN


The pound sign is usually located above the number 3 (not on the number keysboard but above the w....e on letter keys. You have to use the shift key to get the ### key.

Pound sign


Press and Hold the Shift Key then hit the number 3 key. The # sign is on the 3 key, but since it is above the number 3 that means you have to press and hold the shift key.

I have Aspire 5536-5519 and on the keyboard there are characters that are green. How can I use these characters? For example the sterling pound sign


Hold down the shift key and then press the £ sign.... for € sign hold down Alt-Gr then press 4 shift key is located under the Return or Enter key and above the Ctrl key

Where is the hash " # " key loacated on Asus netbook?


You have it set to UK keyboard layout. Goto control panel / region and language and change it to your desired country. Cheers from Scott please dont forget to vote

Not able to type ''at the rate, hash, dollar sign etc


Can you please try pressing and holding Shift and then pressing the single quote key ( ' ). Do let us know if that gets the @ sign

Hash key


I tried the lower left Fn key plus the key just beneath the Backspace key on the right of the keyboard this created the # key you need (this on a Satellite Toshiba laptop)
