Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
Same problem ? but with PS3 just out of warranty.
Disk would go in alright and eject but nothing else. Seemed the hard drive was faulty or something else seriously wrong? Wouldnt turn off either.
My fix was check all connections.
Turn off at back leave a moment, turn back on
and hold down on/ start button till beeps twice (about 3 secs)
Menu came up
Select 2 on menu and reset default.
Everything works again . PHEW.
Hope this helps.

Did you have try to reset all the video settings ?? ok let's try that my name is Juan and I am here to help you and see if we can solve this with the unit off turn the main switch off on the back of the unit connect the HdmI cable to the unit and to the tv now place your finger on the front on/off switch and keep it there now turn the main switch on the back of the ps3 keep your finger on the on/off switch for about 4 seconds or until you heard one bip (but not the first bip when the playstation turns on ) ok so once you heard the bip after few seconds remove your finger from the on/off switch and this should make your hdmI to work again just wait few seconds for the signal to show up on your tv sometimes it takes about 30 seconds once you see the browser the system will ask you if you want to switch to hdmi click yes hope this can fix your problem and if it does please rate my help thanks

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Tips for a great answer:
Feb 03, 2016 | Televison & Video
Mar 30, 2014 | Mitsubishi WD-82837 82 in. HDTV DLP TV
Sep 08, 2013 | ViewSonic VX2260WM 21.5" LCD TV
Press and hold the power button until
the systems shuts off. (wait 2 seconds)
Press and hold the power button again
until you here 3 beeps. Let go. Make sure that you are switching your
TV from HDMI to AV and vice versa.
It should ask you to connect your
controller via usb and press the PS button in
the middle of your controller. There
will be a menu with 6 options.
If you are able to get the AV cables to work with this method, try setting your HDMI up as you did before.
If you cannot get HDMI to work, then your output has gone out. You must use the AV/Component cables.
If you get no display at all but the system appears to be responding normally (outside of the display) then:
You have what is commonly known as the
"Green light of Death."
It is when your system powers on and acts normally but no display. Your GPU (graphics chip) has cracked or become damaged and will need to be sent in to SONY. You can try a 3rd party technician, but this repair has a very very low success rate.
