Take classes on-line and earn cash teaching what you know with EduFire.com. EduFire.com provides a way for teachers and students to connect via video classes and groups. The site collects 15% from the teacher's earnings for it's support that lets you teach up to 99 students at a time in one class. Teachers set fees for classes.
You need to buy a web cam and microphone/headset and install them on you computer. Then you sign up as a student, teacher or both. EduFire has a free class for new teachers, about every 2-3 weeks, on-line and using it's system. I have not attended a class yet, but plan to soon.
I'm a retired ESL teacher and have taught adults to speak English in California for 30 years. So, I thought, great, I'll teach English. First I looked at the current offerings, many, and thought of some thing that I could teach that was missing. I filled out the form for the class and scheduled times. No students.
Don't sign up to teach with EduFire and expect them to recruit for you. Teachers need to use all possible ways to attract students. Recently I've had many e-mail exchanges with someone in China about an unlocked cell phone that I had to return. I decided mention my class to him. He said he has many friends who want to learn English.
There is lots of support for learners and teachers on Edufire. I can see this web site teaming with EduFire so that "Experts" video conference to solve problems, especially technical and physical repairs.
