Error code E5 41 on Ricoh copier model 4527, or FT 4527

The copier won't work now that the error code E541 has appeared. The copier worked fine until it was moved and then started getting this error.

It is a fuser error (low warm up temp), often caused by fluctuating voltage. You have a blown fuse, lamp, or thermistor. Can only be reset in service mode after the problem is solved.

1. This is Open Thermistor problem

2. Thermistor connector is bad.

3. Thermistor is broken, or out of place

4. Fusing temperature -15% less than the regular input voltage

You need to check 3 cause for that error:
- hot roller thermistor out of position
- fusing lamp broken (can you see the lamp going on at startup?)
- thermostat broken
If you are just a user, without any technical knowledge, i advise you to call a Ricoh Support Service.

Error sc 547

Found this from:

Ricoh CL4000DN Error Code SC542
Turns out error SC542 indicates a fuser temperature problem. Once the error is detected, the printer is toast until you manually clear the error from the keypad. Even though the printer is physically fine, it won’t come ready until the prior error condition is cleared.
A few phone calls with our local Ricoh service rep, and he admitted that the printer might trip this error in a power brownout.
The printer was less than 30 days old and the error was caused by the brownout or the fuser failed. I kept calling the Ricoh rep, and they finally gave me the magic keystrokes over the phone.
I did the magic keystrokes, cleared the error code, and the printer worked fine. It’s been working great for a year now.
I hope someone else who has this problem finds this page and is able to fix the problem also. I didn’t find any help on the net when I searched.

The Fix In order to clear error SC542, you must perform procedure 5810.
  • Press and hold online + escape, then power on.
  • Use up and down arrow keys to select SP2
  • Press Enter
  • Use up and down arror to locate SP5
  • Press Enter
  • Use up and down arrow keys to select 810
  • Press Enter
  • Confirm the selection
  • Power off and on.
The error code is now cleared.

Hope this helps!

When i on the machine e-5 error appear and machie not working

What model? AND you need to press the "." key to get the complete code?
However... "E 5xx' " is a fuser code and will not go away until it is fixed and reset in service mode.

"E 1xx" is a scanner code, which means it is either a lamp, fuse , home position sensor...etc.

....Nor do you have the parts. I answered you earlier today. If it were a simple fix/ adjustment I'd be happy to provide it. You need a trained technician, and only technicians will have the codes. You can find yourself in even bigger difficulty messing with service procedures that you know nothing about...cut your losses.

On a Ricoh FT 4415 copier, what does error ''E2'' mean?

Hello,Check out this site and see if any of these error codes can help you: http://www.copier-help.com/copier-help/
Have you checked the power fuse? Or have you looked at the incoming power circuit board. Could there be any burnt resistors, blown capacitors, or bad voltage transformers?
Check things out because many times when a machine doesn't even power on (no lights, no life) - it's usually a sign of something blown - fuses, circuit board, lamps, etc. Hope this helps.
