Goto the tv's menu, look for and disable "store mode" or "demonstration mode". I'm just speculating on what you have.

Menu window keeps popping up

It may be the button on the remote. Turn of the TV and remove the batteries from remote. Then turn on TV from the buttons on the set itself and see if it happens. The Insignia remotes are poor quality. Insignia TV's usually carry a 2 year warranty from Best Buy(Insignia is their store brand) if it is under warranty they will replace it. If not under warranty and it is the remote you could try a universal remote.

Need base for Insignia TV

It will either slide out from the front/back or to the side..Some actually bolt on from the bottom using screws/bolts.And then again some are not meant to be taken off.Make sure it is a wall mountable tv.Then try to take the stand off as directed.

Click on the display button (upper left corner) as a short term fix - it will turn it off immediately - not sure of how to permanently solve this though.

Removing the stand on Insignia LCD 26F TV

My insignia 26 inch dvd combo TV stand can be removed by removing the access cover to your input connection. There are eleven black phillip-head screws. The three bottom screws also hold the plastic base cover in place. Remove all eleven screws and pull the stand out from below. The four philip-head screws on the back center of the TV is for the location of the wall bracket mount. Good luck.

Plasma tv burn in

Hey napa15rt,

Many manufacturers may suggest not using video game consoles in conjunction with plasma or projection TV's, due to the potential risk of image retention. Unfortunately, image retention (or "image burn") can be caused by any number of sources including letter-box formatting, test patterns, scrolling banners and even the heads-up displays of many video games.

While some video game publishers may have taken this into consideration by including a "screen saver" of sorts for when the game is on pause, this cannot be guaranteed to apply to every game or console available.

Generally, you may avoid image retention by limiting the amount of time that any image is displayed on your TV screen. Simply turning the TV off when you're taking a break can often be one of the best ways to do so.

Additionally, please keep in mind that some Insignia TV models may offer a feature called Image Sticking Minimalization (or ISM) that is designed to help prevent image burn. For more information on your TV model and the ISM feature, you may wish to refer to your owner's manual or Insignia's website:

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron
