Question about Kenmore 62622 Microwave Oven
We have a Sears elite microwave and it will run for a time then stop with F9 showing. If you try to use it again it will run but it does not heat. We have tried unplugging it for 40 seconds but it still does this. If it's a control board problem how much does that cost to replace it?
The F-9 code indicates that there's an inverter board failure. A bad magnetron will also make it think the board is bad. The inverter board takes the place of the High Voltage Transformer, Capacitor and Diode which other models have. Parts and labor is probably around 300-400. It's not too hard to do, Pulling the micro off the wall is the hardest part.
