Have the manual for the lower self cleaning electric built in lower oven, but need the microwave manual. I found the following numbers on the microwave: E44459 and FSD4504712. The model of the lower oven is 44345. The unit was manufactured in November 1994.

SOURCE: Burned out light bulb
can u open the housing?. you can look at the spot where the light is and you can see a bulb holder screwed on the metal housing. it has two wires hooked up to that holder. remove those wires and unscrew the holder of the bulb. look closely at the bulb if it is fiited to the holder like an ordinary light bulb. if its like that then you can unscrew it and replace it. if its not screwed to the holder then you have to buy the whole bulb assembly at the dealer of your microwave. it is considered a special bulb only from the dealer you can get. i hope i was able to solve your problem..

Bottom line is... Home warranty companies will do anything possible to wriggle out of paying for something. (Especially if it's American Home Shield).
I'd suggest offering to fax / email photos and the front cover of your owners manual. Your model is 100% considered a built in unit and they are lying to you and trying to cheat you if they say otherwise.

Go to geappliances.com and click on the "Service and Support" link. Under the drop down menu, locate "Owner's Manuals and Installation Instructions". Type in your model number and your Owner's Manual is available in .pdf (Adobe) format. Save a copy to your PC, or print one out.
NOTE: Before you ask...Although your microwave carries the GE logo, it is manufactured by Hotpoint.
I hope this helps you.

Hi Carol Eggers, thank you for your inquiry!
I understand that your wall oven is not allowing you to perform self-clean after you replaced your bake element. It sounds like it could be an issue within the control panel or sensor inside of your oven. I would recommend having a professional come out to properly diagnose your appliance. -Matt

Loosen up gunk and grease splattered inside your microwave by following this simple tip. Fill a pyrex measuring cup or other microwave safe bowl with one cup water and put in microwave on high for three minutes. This should bring the water to a boil. Let it set in microwave for several minutes with the door closed.
Then, wet a sponge or soft rag with a tablespoon of vinegar. If you need a degreaser, add a few drops of dishwashing liquid to it. Wipe microwave clean with the rag or sponge. The microwave will practically clean itself. Now that was easy!
