Question about Iomega (33090) 250 GB Hard Drive
My 250GB did well for a few years, but one W/E it was not responding to the network and I found that it did not spin up.
I have about 130GB of Family pictures and 400 CD's with music that I would like to recover.
Can I combine this unit with "parts from a working DVD 250 unit" somehow, and then get my data back?
Iomega service states: "The Unit has internal problems preventing normal operation of the device." I already knew that.
I found the lights, blue and red go on fine and work according to the manual, but unit does not spin up. Power supply seems fine. In the past it did five a "whirring" sound sort of like ball-bearings or something is rubbing. Unit worked at that time, just fine.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
