Dishes all cloudy and spotty. Maytag Intellisense plus 1996 dishwasher. I have real hard water that leave white calcium build up. I can remove and clean all of the lower spray arms and filter. How do I remove top spray arm to remand remove deposits? The motor sounds good, hot water, fill ok. On the inside top of center of arm where it meets the center input connection there is gunk to remove. How do I get to it? remove arm? thanks

My dishes come out cloudy?

If there is not enough water, the dishes would not get cleaned. This could be caused by a partially closed water shut-off valve (located under the sink), or a faulty dishwasher water valve (located at the bottom of the dishwasher, behind the kick panel, on either side).

Also, There is usually two, sometimes three spray arms in a dishwasher. Make sure there is no debris blocking the holes inside each spray arm.

**Water temperature Note***

To get the best results, the water has to be at 120 degrees Fahrenheit when entering the dishwasher.

Concerning the Film.(Disregard if this is not an issue)

This problem occurs due to excessive calcium build up inside the dishwasher. Try cleaning you dishwasher using a dishwasher cleaner. There are a few out there, Try Dishwasher Magic.

Dishes always come out cloudy ... white cloudy stain on inside of door, etc. We use electrosol power ball cubes. We set wash cycle to normal wash.

Dishes not coming out clean

Check your hot water supply. It should be at least 125 degrees. Are the dishes spotty or still dirty with old food? Try to pre-rinse your dishes before putting them into the dishwasher. You can also run your hot water until it's nice and hot coming from the sink before turning your dishwasher on. If they're spotty, use less or better quality detergent. My guess is going to be water temperature or pressure.

There are no filters in the dishwasher. However, you may have filters under your sink or near your hot water tank for whole house filtering.
