Touch screen does not work

I had the same problem.
I fixed it by running the battery completely down.

Leave it on until it shuts down, then turn it back on till it shuts down again.
Repeat this a few times to make sure the battery is completely discharged.

After that, I plugged it into a power source and it worked fine.

My depth finder on my E-120 works for a minute or 2 and gets stuck. My tri data also works for a minute or 2 and then the depth portion shuts off with only lines running thru and no numbers. Other portions...

Hi! You will need to reset the unit to work normally. Try this, remove the battery and press/turn the power button for 10secs. while the battery is removed. Put in the battery and turn the unit on and see how it goes. This should reset the system and resolve the problem. Hope this helps and have a good one!

Connect an raymarine E120 Display to the RNS software in a PC

Try a cross over network cable from the PC to the E-Series. Raymarine Made each one of their cables as a straight cable so you would need to buy the cross over coupler or network switch box to use it with another unit. It's nothing different from normal networking with the exception that they have removed wires 4,5,7 & 8 from the cable and it's a straight. Give that a try.

Video camera inputs get srambled as unit warms up

Try with new 5.23 Software. If you still have the problem send it to Raymarine.
Some E 120 series had problems with the Videoinputs use the warrenty as soon as possible.

Our e120 has no boat recognition. We cannot make it find our boat in order to use it.

Do you have fix on the GPS?
Have you selected "find boat" and not "cursor" (bottom left button under the screen)? If you'r still stuck try a master reset (factory reset) by going into the menu and select system setup - factory reset.

Master vs. repeater confusion

The master/repeater selection is for the purpose of determining which display is in control of the waypoint and route database.

Turn on both units and let them boot up. Do not answer the master/repeater question until both are on. Then press "Set as master" on the preferred one.

The units remember individually if they were set as a master or repeater the last time they were on. If they are powering up to find themselves in a different configuration than they were previously in, that will prompt the whole master/repeater thing to happen.

No GPS fix

Had same problem on trip down the pacific west coast. Best solution is to replace your GPS antenna to the 175 ( It is a problem on the 120)and upgrade the software. If this is not feasible, shutting the unit down for about 10 to 15 mins. sometimes dumps the GPS data overload. and allows FIX re-acquisition.
