Question about Epson Workforce 610 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have had no problems with this unit since I have purchased it. It has performed extremely well, and I hate to have to replace it. Any suggestions?

SOURCE: Epson workforce 600 continue to
If this message appears when you turn the printer on it will need a repair, this will be down to a sensor fault.
If this message appears when you try to print Check you are using the correct paper type and size settings, on the printer if being used standalone or via the printer driver if using via a computer.
Also try using a different paper type and brand ideally Epson paper as it is an Epson printer. If the fault continues the printer will need a service.
As this printer was released this year you should be covered by some form of warranty, contact Epson for a service.

On the Epson website it is confirmed that the Epson WorkForce 610 will not recognize transparency media. It is just the way the printer works; if it can see through the media, it doesn't think it's there.
However.....you can tape a sheet of white paper to the non-printable side of the transparency, and it prints just fine. I put two strips of scotch tape on either side, top and bottom. Works great. It's kind of a hassle, but better than not being able to print transparencies at all!

check if you open the printer door. there is a plastic strip with black lins on. clean it or check if it is in place.

I had a similar issue. After ordering a new printer and being told by the epson tech that I need to buy a new printer, I attempted once more to fix the printer before giving up on it.
I noticed when starting the printer up, the container that holds the ink cartridges would move all the way to the right, stop, and then the error would occur.
Eventually, I held the cartridge housing up and forward a little when starting the printer. This fixed the problem, as the cartridge housing was able to get past its stuck point and continue on its journey.
Hopefully this helps someone
