I have a Peavey Bandit 112 (one of the newer models but still quite old). I just bought a new pedal (Electro Harmonix OD Glove) and the Peavey is throwing out a loud interference when the pedal is on

If the amp is only doing this when the pedal is plugged in, there is either a problem with the pedal (try it with a different amp) or possibly you have plugged it in using a speaker cable (unshielded) rather than a guitar cable (shielded).

I have a pioneer VSX D-308 RECIEVER and a electro-voiceevt 2210can it be hooked up together

The Tapco equalizer was a very popular line of equipment which was eventually bought up by Electro-Voice. Could not find any online manuals, however found online images of back panel. It appears to have Tape Ins & Outs.

Unfortunately the equalizer you have is not compatible with the receiver unless you have special cables that have built in transformers. This unit has T&R connectors (tip & ring) meant for professional sound equipment.

On a typical home stereo receiver you would hook up your equalizer with RCA connectors as follows.

1) You take the output of the equalizer and plug it into the input of the receiver.

2) You take the output of the Receiver and plug it into the input of the equalizer.

Start with lower volume and your tape switch on the receiver to the on position. Play with the various controls on your equalizer to

Chorus on- no problem- noise free. Chorus off- big problem- massive hum. This item is supposedly "new" (stupid me, I bought from Ebay...)

It sounds like the bypass contacts on the pedal are not working... this may be right in the pedal switch itself. With unit in off position, use an ohmmeter to check continuity between in and out cable tips.

Guitar pedal wiring

If you only replaced the jacks, then check where you soldered your wires. The ground wire from the circuit board an/or switch will be wired to the sleeve of the jack. The tip of the jack would be wired to the output lug of the switch. Also check the wiring on your in jack to make sure the correct wire is going directly to the switch from the jack's tip. The ground wire will go from the sleeve to the circuit board and/or ground lug on the switch.

Post your email and I can help you out if you do not fix it.

Fender Vibro King Pilot light out??

Hi superleaddud

MOst probable, is that an output tube went west(decrease in vol), and in turn popped the fuse(pilotlight went out). It is always a decent first bet that this is what has happened. You get generally 6 months out of a set out output tubes if you use the amp often, and at gig levels every week. I would first check and replace the fuse, and then the output tubes. GT 6L6GE are factory for that amp, and always a fair bet to use the same to replace them. If you cant extend to the budget for the GT's, then Russian made (Sovtek) Electro Harmonix make a decent quality tube that sound good in guitar amps. . Always replace them as a pair, and buy them gain matched. Get the Grove Tubes from a music store, and the Electro Harmonix from an amp repair specialist. Happy to answer any question you may have about the problem. Cheers. A FixYa rating is a great reward for my assistance to you.
