Scorpion SC950 Generator. Hi, I am wanting to know the size for the female fuel Thread for it. Thanks Keith

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved from Cars and Trucks to Generators.

Thar sort of information is never available especially on such a vintage machine, and you don't tell 'why'?

You would measure the diameter with an internal Vernier gauge or external on the male connector and then use a thread gauge for the thread pitch.

Or you buy a new tank or a new tap.

Yardworks 950 watt inverter generator. Where can I find parts for this unit?

Question edited for clarity.

You need the model number, '950 watt' is just an output and the parts suppliers go by model number.

The manual for this much larger generator has the contact details for spares. Your 'regulator looking' part is probably the carburetor and just needs cleaning. People leave them a couple of years with fuel in and they gum up. First job is always dump all the fuel and clean the carb, then check the spark plug. The add fresh fuel, because fuel goes bad unless you use a stabilizer.

Is it a 4 stroke

Does it have a oil dip stick or place to put oil in the bottom of the engine? 2 cycle engines use oil in the gas because they have no oil in the 'crank case'.
do you now have an owners manual?

Need owners manual '97 ford falcon el

Not for free:
- ford-falcon-1996-1998-workshop-manual
- austech.info/26116-ford-ef-el-service-manual (its page 2 post 39, is still active; I might add, i think you need to be a registered Austech member to view the link for those looking for it).

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

90/180 volt output is ruining/overheating tools and several electronic devices and fluorescent fixtures will not start.

I am not familiar with this make of generator, however I am thinking that voltage regulation and rpm are tied together with this unit. The generator MUST have an output of 60 hertz. This could be 63 hz (when the load comes on it drops to around 60). If the frequency is NOT at the above specs you will burn out anything with a transformer or motor. Now this translates to around, minimum of 3600 rpm on the engine. If you have access to a frequency meter (a kill-a-watt) you can set the speed. I found it best when using the kill-a-watt to use it with a minimum of a 10 foot extension cord. Set the throttle speed so that your frequency reading is 63 hz. If this is the non electronic voltage regulated type of generator, the voltage should come up to around 120 volts and the frequency should be at 63 hz.
